we don't need a qb, the problem with daunte was that he needed to rehab more, I think calvin johnson from georgia tech is what we need.

I'd be happy with a tackle or a corner back. Joe Thomas is he falls or maybe Leon Hall.

Hall looks a little slow to me. I think we might get stuck in a bad spot. The top 5 or 6 guys look really good and then guys 7-20 look the same, a slight dropoff. I could be wrong though, the draft is a crapshoot anyway.

We will almost certainly have no shot at CJ or Joe Thomas. The big 5 QBs assuming they all declare are Quinn, Smith (seniors), Russell (declared), Brohm (likely to declare with Petrino now gone) and Brennen (unknown). The only one who would be a reach is Brennen, though hes getting some rave reviews atm. A crappy bowl could hurt Smith, but if he plays well hes worth it here.

I really want Russell, but I dont want to give up the farm to move up that much. If Brohm is available at nine, then I say we take him. If we can trade up and get Calvin Johnson, that would be nice to.

The problem with DC is that we dont know how he will look. He could be an allstar, he could be a washout. We would idiots to not draft a QB of the future. Worst case is DC washes out and we are still set. Best case, DC does well, we groom the rook a year or two, trade DC and play our new QB. Win-win. To put all our eggs in the DC basket is foolish to say the least.
