Not who you want to win. Most of the so called experts say it's Gus. I'm picking the upset, I say when the bullets start flying and they actually start playing pre-season games A.J. will prove his worth.

Who do you expect (not want to) win the starting QB job?

Sportsline picks Gus.

My votes for A.J. Feeley!

Quite the original thread. But I'll answer as I have before. I think it will be whoever Nick and Lineham think is the better qb. Better be AJ, because if it's Gus we're still looking for our future qb and are probably years away.

I will admit that I am a FeeleyHugger. That said I believe it will be AJ Feeley who gets the starting nod. It has been said from the begining that Gus would be brought in as a veteran backup who is familiar with a Linehan style system. Feeley is getting his chance this season

I'm having Deja Vu................for the 45093804958490355983489 time on here.........

i dont want a quarterback who ran into a wall while in celebration and got a concussion. I hope AJ is better than that

I always thought the Broncos bailed out on Gus too soon in Denver and decided to make Brian Griese the heir apparent to John Elway....Gus had his bad INTs and not the greatest mobility, but he held the record for most yards ever thrown by a Bronco in an NFL game before Jake Plummer beat it,.,.,he had some nice moments and I think he has way more experience and is a better fit in Linehan's system...I think it will be GUS starting.

that's my fear. If we have to draft our future next year we are three years away from a solution of any permanence. I hope AJ steps up and proves to be better than "adaquate" because if he is not then you will be correct...

If it was Wanny Id say Gus he would be the "safe" pick.. But if its close and I think It will be, then AJ will get it and get one year to see if he can develope.

Thats why AJ will be given every possible oppurtunity to start. If Gus starts he would be on a much shorter leash than Feeley would if he were to start IMO. I don't think Gus will be taking this team to the SuperBowl anytime soon, but maybe AJ can in the near future.

I'm hoping we keep playing AJ til either he's hurt or season ends.

We traded for A.J. now it's time for him to go out and prove himself.

The old regime traded for AJ. Saban could care less what the other guys did. I guarantee you he would have rather had that 2nd round pick than AJ Feeley. Saban will do what is best for this team and what gives us the best chance to win. Anyone who thinks otherwise are just fooling themselves. I think Gus will get the nod. But I am confident that, if it IS indeed AJ, it will be because he earned it. It will have nothing to do with what we gave for him.

feeley better win or it will be a long recovery

I don't really understand the logic in that. If Feeley DOES win it and still isn't what Saban deems good enough to lead this team, then does that mean that we will not be competitive for years and years?
It's just my opinion, but I don't think it really matters who starts this year. i think, ultimately, we'll have a new QN in here after this season. I don't think AJ or Gus are the long term solutions. But for someone who will make this team more competitive this year...it should be Gus Frerotte.
