In reality, everything really rides on what the players do over the course of the season. But lets check out some scenarios and players because its almost 2:30 in the morning and I cant sleep.

Lets say Donald Thomas comes back early from surgury and is everything that we thought he was and more. And our line becomes a force to be reckoned with this year producing a Pro Bowler or 2. Ronnie Brown breaks out, gets 1700+ yards and 20 TD's, and truly is the "Elite" Runningback that we all hope, and he says, that he is. Then guess what? He is first in line to get an extension, and a fat one at that.

If Penny has back to back stellar seasons for the first time ever. Say he goes for 4200 yards with a 17-5 TD/Int Ratio. Or Chad Henne isn't where the Trifecta want him to be? Maybe is accuracy is off, or Pat White and him start to argue over who is the future of this franchise and it leads to fisticuffs! (Sorry, got a little carried away there). Anyway, then it looks like Pennington might see a little more cashflow coming his way.

I like Bess and think he has the tools to be our go-to when we have to move the chains. I think his size is actually an advantage to him because he uses it so well. Lets say he proves to be one of the quickest guys in the league and is that pass catching machine out of the slot that we are hoping for. I think he is underpaid already, he would definitely get the chance to bathe in some campaign if he can pull that off.

What do you guys think? What kind of scenario would you like to see play out. Hell, try making some of your own. I just discovered its a great way to pass time and hopefully now i can get to sleep. Man, September 13th cant get here fast enough.

Bess, Brown, Ricky, Chad P, Fasano.

Thinking Chad P more for veteran backup/mentor/coach but if he takes us to SB then by all means bring him back as starter.

I think this is an easy answer. Cameron Wake!!! Some said he couldn't come into the NFL and compete at a high level early on, but for him to already be tied for the league lead in sacks and we are just now in june tells me he is the real deal!!!!

Pennington is the guy i would look to extend!!! He dropped into Miami's lap last year and gave the team stability at a position that was unstable since Marino retired... He is a great leader and one of the smartest QB's ever to play the game... guys like Pennington are hard to find... so letting him walk after the season IMO, would be a big mistake... he is the ONLY PROVEN QB on the roster... I feel it would be a big step backwards if he is no longer with the team!!!

dont see any reason to extend Brown. He has been among the best paid backs since day one. Franchise him.
