I think it's time to start asking this question. Post who you want if you choose OTHER.

This list is just far too depressing to consider... Retreads and unknowns. I'm not a fan of retreads, and I don't trust Ross to hire a competent unknown.

I am so tired of the 3 year cycle of hope. I just pray whoever is next is FINALLY the guy.

Voted Harbaugh / Other.

Jim is a good football coach, regardless of everything else that surrounds him. I also think that even though he's a long-shot, there is at least a slim hope that we can pull it off and bring him here. We'd have to give up a lot, but he's a proven coach.

My 'other' choice would be to roll the dice on a prodigy with limited NFL experience and hope he pans out. I'm thinking specifically of Gus Malzahn. I know that some people will point to Saban as a reason to avoid going to the college ranks, but the truth is that Saban was a good coach who simply screwed up some personnel decisions, especially the QB. I don't think that necessarily means we should never hire a college coach again. I point to the success of Chip Kelly -- someone I thought was going to crash and burn in the NFL -- as an example of how innovative and talented college coaches can bring something new to the NFL.

Dark horse: Gary Kubiak.

I selected other because I don't really want anybody else on that list. I have a feeling Gruden will just screw us over, Cowher doesn't want to coach us, and I have heard Harbaugh is alienating his players. I like Dungy, but I still can't tell if his success was a product of Manning or not. He seems to know how to evaluate players though, so he is intriguing. I think players respect him. Last year, I really wanted Jay Gruden. He did a great job coaching the Predators here in Orlando and I thought it would translate well. So far I think it has. Other than that I really don't know, so that is why it is "other" for me. Maybe a College coach will break free and we can get a guy in here who knows what he is doing.

Agree with you. If me hired him that would be a very interesting hire and I would not complain at all.

I would not mind seeing Harbaugh. Is he a nutter? Maybe but at least he doesn't look clueless like Philbin or read his post game speeches off cue cards. I don't know what that has always irked me but it does.

Same. When people are ready to axe the staff or players, I cringe because I dont want to start another '3 year project'. I feel it's inevitable this coming offseason though.

Well I think Shanahan likes Tannehill and can probably get more out of him than this current circus we have. But Harbaugh definitely!

Let's buck the trend and make it a 2.25 year project, then.

Go Raiders.

Not big on anyone on this list, and I am generally wary of college guys making the jump with little pro experience. I'd like to see an energetic young coordinator who brings an equally dynamic young QB coach with him ... someone on the fast track who can help the Dolphins over the next couple of years, because, as it stands now, I don't see any QBs becoming available in free agency, trades or the draft who aren't any more than a lateral move from RT. I think RT has the tools if you have the right guy to work with him, though.

Unfortunately, I have very little faith in our owner to not make this a circus, mess it up and make it even worse somehow.
