After 10 games of their Head Coaching Careers which rookie HC do you think feels best about the direction his team is moving?(you can look at this from each teams fan perspective if you like)

Romeo Crennel

Nick Saban

Mike Nolan

Each team entered this season with a honeymoon period however if you take a closer look perhaps Miami is the farthest one of the three from being where they need to be.

Both cleveland and San Francisco have a young QB being groomed a must in any franchise turnaround...Miami doesnt.

All three HC have a defensive back ground however once again a closer look reveals that as the season has progressed Cleveland & San Fran have made significant strides in a positive direction ....Miami not so ( not even taking into account the fact that in 9 of its 10 games Miami has given up an opening score to its opponet)

So dolfans my question is once more of the 3 teams which team do you feel is moving in the direction its HC set the course for?

actually all three are doing a pretty damn good job. Sabans gotten miami to overacheive this year as far as what was expected from us. Crennel is installing a system and should be happy to see the browns scoring points. and Nolan should be happy that his team is fighting. for the niners to even be doing that means theres good coaching going on.

All 3 are doing best with what they had. Right now IMO Nolan is making the biggest stride. At least he is being compettive and already match last years win total. I'm happy with Saban, but I wouldn't say he made the biggest improvement in our future direction. Because we have no QB, and an aging Defense. But given time I hope and expect Saban to be the most sucessfull

How are we overachieving at 3-7? I don't think anyone can overachieve at 3-7. With that being said, I think Miami is the worst off of the three, but that doesn't mean this thing is not going to be turned around. I believe we easily, have the most talent of the 3, yet not the best record. You look at Cleveland, they are installing a system with a bunch of guys who are young, but are looking to get better via free agency (have a lot of cap room) and the draft. They are moving in the right direction because they do have a young QB and other young players at the skill positions (Braylon, Winslow, Frye, A. Davis) not to mention they have a coach who fits their biggest need, defense.

In San Francisco, Mike Nolan I think is doing the most with the least. That team is wretched especially at the QB position yet, they pull off a win against Tampa Bay, and take it the last seconds against possibly the best team in the NFC today. Mike Nolan is gonna turn that team around, just a matter of when. San Fran has been so screwed up personnel and cap wise for so long that it might take longer for them because of it. Yet, they have a young QB, a possible young playmaker in LLoyd, Peterson at LB and a couple quality young DBs to work with. They just need to work on that O-Line, RB and other skill positions.

Miami seems like the worst off because we easily are more talented. You hear the names like, Ricky, Ronnie, Chambers, Booker, McMichael, Boston, Madison, Schulters, Jeno James, TeBucky Jones, Zach Thomas, Junior Seau, Jason Taylor, Keith Traylor, Vonnie Holliday, Kevin Carter, and you say you have a chance just on names alone, yet that's not the case. We have alot of old contracts on our hands that if not delt with properly will hinder our immediate improvement. We need to get a young QB, younger all on the defense, Dline, LB and DB positions. We need to improve via free agency with a QB, Oline, WR, and/or DB. Not to mention, we have to do it with a guy who has never had to deal with this being from the college ranks. I know we're going to turn it around, but this offseason will really give us an idea I think of how long it will be until we start contending again.

i meant to say "overachie AT TIMES this year" sorry i left that out.

Miami's defense, I suspect, has been wrecked almost entirely by injuries. I mean, when you've got four key starters out and one playing hurt, what are you to expect. Thomas is out for a few games. Jones is out for the season. Taylor is playing through a ton of pain. Poole is out for the season. We're getting Daniels and Crowder invaluable experience.

rdhstlr23 I think what concerns me most is two things you said....

1- Nolan getting the most out of the least- isnt that a coaches job Belicheck does that year after year( in theory anyone can coach talent)

2-Your valid point about the teams age...that was by Sabans choice( Holliday..Traylor..Carter...McDougal...T.Jones...Schultters...Frerrotte

lastly what bad contracts did Saban inherit the lone "bad" contract he traded to KC...so IMO the age of this team and the player contracts are to this point Saban's doing.
