I realized today that both Saban and Jim Bates ended their respective years with good six game runs. Bates went 3-3, and Saban went 6-0 to finish his first year. So my questions to you are: 1) Who got more out of their players? and 2) Who do you think the players liked playing for the most?

At the times, I think the players loved playing for the two. Each brought a breath of freash air from the stench Wanny left behind. So, I don't know if you can say they liked one over the other. As for enjoying the games, I am sure they liked Saban's six game winning streak more. Why? Well, because they won all the games and the now have positive attention going into the offseason.

Yeah, I'm sure the players enjoyed playing for both coaches, but I've got a funny feeling they liked the 6 game win streak a little better than the .500 record with Bates. Plus, the off-season is so much more promising because of it!!

Is this really a serious question? There is absolutely no comparison between last year and this year.

Last years 3-3 "run" as you call it, included two wins against the two worst teams in the league(S.F., Clev.), and frankly two of the worst teams I've ever seen.

As implied above, the stench from Wanny was wafting too closely to Bates to make it bearable, even to Bates and team during their stretch....
