Who has the strongest arm in the NFL?

It was the 50 from one knee.
Yep, and Rohan Davey did the same thing for a highlight spot right before the World Bowl. So You have to list Rohan in there with Boller, atleast.

I can throw it from my chair to the garbage sitting down.

Heck I tried that once. I leaned way back in my chair as the rush was on... I let one go deep, only to have it picked off by some rogue racoon. I guess he wanted the chicken bone more than my trash can.

It scared me for life! I will never throw another pass again as long as I live.

EDIT: Okay, that was bad. It's late and I am becoming dillusional, so it's time for me to call it a night.

:goodnight

GO FINS!!!!

Favre was the strongest before. Vick on the run atleast with his body moving.

But overall?

I'd say Donovan McNabb...

But accuracy for him is another thing.

How does Dan compare to these guys? I remember Dan having a cannon but not Favre style.

while dan had a great arm for his time, i think he his better known for his quick release.............

a few years ago i would have to say Brett Farve had the strongest arm in the league... well he did have THE strongest arm but now i would have to say Mike Vick. People dont look at his arm and just what he does on his feet. Watch him play and you'd be amazed at how he zips the balls in there. I saw him rocket a pass like 50 yards. it was a bullet, no rainbow, no floating, it went completely straight and flat. I was truely impressed. After i saw that i gained respect for Vick as a qb and not just someone who could out run everyone.

Culpepper has more of a cannon than all of them.

try the 30 and it went through the goal post.

Nope, it was the 50, from one knee.

Vick has the strongest arm in the NFL. If I recall, he threw it 81 yards at either the QB challenge or the scouting combine, I can't remember which.

After that, it's probably Culpepper and Favre.

I love Jeff George. Not that he was anything special, but he's great fodder for QB comparisons. For example: A "Jeff George" is a great fantasy QB who's not that great in real life (and until this year, I was beginning to think that we'd start calling those guys "Daunte Culpeppers"). A "Troy Aikman" is a crummy fantasy QB who's a legend in real life (and in 10 years, we might call those guys "Tom Bradys").

did anyone watch the college qb challenege a couple years ago--grossman through the ball 68 yards and hit within a specific area which was 5 yards

Rex in effex is crap. I once saw him in a bar in Chi-town with a dress and high heels dancing to YMCA. And it wasn't even a theme night. NO one knew why!!! After that, I don't care how far he can throw it!!

At one of his workouts before he was drafted, he threw a ball from the 50 yardline on his knees and it went through the goal post!
I don't believe that.

Shannon Sharpe: "I'd put Peyton Manning-Rodney Harrison second" .... I still like him better than Deion though.

isnt it Marvin Harrison he throws the ball too?

Did anyone see the QB Challenge this year? I couldn't believe how sorry some of the arms are on pro qb's. Bulger and T. green could barely break 50 yards. Palmer threw it 60. I saw Favre throw it 84 yards about 5 years ago in the qb challenge.
Who cares? How often does a QB actually throw a football 30+ yards downfield? Very rarely. A QB needs to be accurate, and be able to release quickly, and not let their passes hang in the air when they throw towards the sidelines.

I was at a High School game over the weekend. This kid had a strong arm, he could throw it all over the field. But he could not hit a receiver. His receivers were constantly jumping and diving for his balls. That's no use. When the receivers would jump, the defenders would pound them while they are in the air. The QB needs to hit those guys in stride, so they can keep running when they catch it.
