i was away on vacation for ten days and see that hadnot is now at center and st. clair is at RG, why, and who is frank middleton

Do a "search".. short story a huge guard from Radahs that was injured (quad) last year..

As an outsider, I will say this. He is a good football player, but a cheap shot artist.

That SOB ended Sam Cowart's season in 2000 with a cheap chop block. Our defense wasnt the same without Cowart and Cowart has never been the same.

I dont like hearing about that I cant stand cheap shots...hopefully he doesnt make a habit of it... I dont mind when a guy goes a little past the whistle or pancakes someone unsuspecting but intentionally trying to injur someone sucks..

A monolith that 3rd world peoples pray to.

It was disgusting to watch.

Cowart had like 5 sacks in the 1st half. He might have broken the record. Then, after the play is over, Here comes Middleton. Cowart wasnt even looking, walking away and he dove at Cowarts Ankle.

Are you asking why Hadnot is at center? Well, because McKinney has been pretty bad, plus Wade Smith broke his arm and is going to miss a lot of time, and possibly the whole season depending on what the team does. Hadnot has been doing pretty good at Center.

Now the signing of Middleton gives us depth and possibly a starting RG with Hadnot moving to Center.

:( that sucks.

Middleton will absolutely start at RG as soon as he gets into shape and his quad is 100% (he says it is). This dude is a stud in the run game and has been solid starter his entire career. He also adds more size to the line, which Houck likes.

You can bet the plan is for Middleton to take the RG job with Hadnot supplanting McKinney inside. It's going to happen, whether it's opening day or sometime after. It's gonna happen.

Bedard says that the coaches have been very impressed with Hadnot. He also goes as far as to say Hadnot will go down as the best acquisition Rick Spielman ever made.

The approximate height|weight of that projected OL from left to right......

6-5 | 6-3 | 6-2 | 6-3 | 6-6
335 | 320 | 325 | 330 | 348

Nice :)

I'd have to agree with Muck, we didn't go out and sign Middleton just for him to be a backup. When healthy, he is a beast, hell in the Super Bowl a couple years ago he owned Warren Sapp (probably the only thing that went well for Oakland that day).

I'd expect him to start practicing with the first team ASAP. Last week I was down in Florida for my vacation and checked out the camp, and let me tell you that McKinney looked awful most of the time. If you read other camp reports Seth was getting dominated by Shaw,Vickerson, and Wright. I kid you not, they were about to have McKinney go up against Orin Thompson on one-one-one drills he was doing so bad. And when Wheatly worked with the first team (when Hadnot was C) he got beat badly not by just power, but by speed as well.

if everybody is healthy and in game shape the starting OL should be Carey-James-Hadnot-Middleton-McDougal

I also will say that our tackles are holding their own against the JT, Carey especially. They kept JT away from Stockar, because Stockar looked like he was ready to kick some @$$ (and understandibly so).

Awesome. Just had to check on the difference between this year and last year.

Total O-Line Weight In 04' = 1583

Total O-Line Weight In 05' = 1658

A difference of 75 pounds.
