The Miami Dolphins’ newly signed fullback is listed at 5-11, 277 pounds. That’s a heavy load in the backfield, but it appears that’s what the Dolphins were looking for.Miami had been shopping for a fullback – holding tryouts for weeks now – and it appears they saw something in Lane they liked to make him the final training camp invitee.

t might be Lane’s understanding of the Dolphins’ offense considering he previously played for former Texas A&M coach Mike Sherman.
Lane rushed for 2,090 yards on 461 carries, and scored 49 touchdowns for the Aggies. But most of his production came before Sherman’s arrival. Sherman moved Lane to fullback his senior season, and the Texas native gained 93 rushing yards and scored five touchdowns that season.

There is a reason everyone looks good in highlight reels, so I will reserve myself from getting too excited. But he definitely looks like he has the tools to become a beast. Makes me worry though that with the potential to make big bucks as draft prospect he couldn't keep his weight in check.......

He would have to really impress to make the team. Right now I think he is just being brought in to be practice material for the defense so that they can run some packages against the D with a big lead blocker.
