Active Roster
After doing a little research on Jim Hostler I have to say I am impressed. At 46 the man has been coaching for 21 years. Twelve of those 21 years he has coached at the NFL level. He began as a RB coach for his alma mater Indiana University in 93 with Juniata College he was named OC and was the youngest coached at his position. He has coached RBs, LBs, WRs, & QBs & has been an Offensive Coordinator at the pro and college level. He has been part of the Saints, Chiefs, Jets, 49ers & Ravens and is credited for the 49ers selection of Alex Smith. While he did struggle as an Offensive Coordinator with the 49ers his greatest success has come as a WR coach. He has helped players like Santana Moss, Justin McCareins, Derrick Mason, Anquan Boldin, Mark Clayton & Torrey Smith succeed at WR. If reports are correct he comes highly recommended by Mike McCarthy for the Dolphins' WR coaching vacancy.
