I pray we dump, Boyer, Spec teams coach, and Grier, but who is qualified to replace them? McD doesnt know crap about defense. Never should have kept either coaches left over from former regime.

Why not? Seems he brought in good coaches on the offensive side of the ball

I'd assume he'd try to get guys he knows from the 49ers staff, or coaches from that tree. He's got connections
 
Bring in the 49ers LB coach whoever that is, along with one or two of their LBs and we'd be in business lol

I'd say he would be okay. They would likely beat-up weaker teams defensively and then choke against any solid QB. So I guess a bit of improvement but not much.
 
Fire the head coach is a great place to start. He can't even manage timeouts let alone call plays.
