Hello,

I read many article about Mid round prospect LB and Scooby Wright, Jaylon Smith (if he fall in the 3 round), Blake Martinez and Cassanova Mc Kinzie seems good value....but I don't know if they would fit our defenisve scheme.

Could you tell me who is your favorite Mid Round LB prospect and why ?

IMO Jaylon Smith would be an enormous steal in round 3 but I don't think he will fall so far......else Blake Martinez seems to be a tackle machine.

opinions :)

I like Scooby but am not sure of position fit in a 43. He seems like a 34 inside backer. I like Jaylon Smith if we think he will return to form in 2017. I am ok with him falling on account of having to wait a year. He can be an impact player. If, OTOH, the injury is sapping his athleticism, then that is another question altogether. Need more test results or better understanding of what's going on there. I have heard a range of theories. I could see him going in the 3rd because why not just take another athletic kid in round 2 like the LSU kid and not deal with the injury?

I don't know about Scooby...I only watched a couple of his games last year, but he didn't do **** in the games I saw...

Stanford LB Blake Martinez.

Although a 3-4 SILB, Martinez is a solid all-around backer who I could see make the transition to a 4-3 MLB. Good run defender with the agility and awareness for pass coverage. Very good pursuit of the ball, ability to go thru or around blocks, and excellent tackler. Not a S2S athlete, but a very sound and physical tackle-to-tackle backer in the box. He's limited in his pass rushing but Joseph's defenses have always used the DL for pressure and rarely blitzes the back 7.

Immediate contributor to special teams and could prove to be a solid starter.

I forgot Matakevich sorry and I don't see video about him

Do you think he is way better than Martinez or Mac Kinzy

Miami Dolphins showing major interest in Clemson LB B.J. Goodson. The details:

Miami Dolphins have a love affair with Clemson defenders
The Miami Dolphins love them some Clemson University football players during this draft process.

The team has done significant work and shown major interest in Clemson linebacker B.J Goodson, the Tigers' defensive team captain. He either has visited or is visiting, depending on what source is talking, but the bottom line is he and Dolphins coaches are meeting.

The team is also visiting this week with Clemson defensive end Kevin Dodd, who might be lesser known than Tigers star defensive end Shaq Lawson, but might become a more productive NFL player. Dodd, 6-5 and 277 pounds, is considered a late second-round selection.

Both Goodson and Dodd played great in 2015, helping the Tigers reach the national title game.

Both are considered future NFL starters.

Goodson has visited with seven teams, including the New York Jets.

Goodson, 6-1 and 242 pounds, led the Tigers with 108 tackles, 14 of those for losses and had 5.5 sacks. Goodson seems to have position flexibility in that he might be a fit either in the middle of a 4-3 defense, inside a 3-4 defense, or perhaps even outside in a 4-3 defense. Although he needs coaching to improve his coverage skills (what college kid doesn't?) Goodson displayed an excellent all-around game last season, intercepting two passes, breaking up three others, and forcing a fumble to earn third-team All-ACC honors from league coaches.

If you want to see B.J. Goodson at his best, check out how he competed against Notre Dame's offensive lineman Nick Martin, brother of Cowboys guard Zack Martin, on tape. It was a fight of two future NFL players -- and Goodson won.

In short, Goodson seems to be around the football all the time. He seems headed anywhere from the middle of the second round to the third round.

Dodd is obviously something of a project but because of his size and the fact he is an edge rusher, his stock is rising. He recently visited San Francisco and Seattle, the latter of which makes sense because some have compared Dodd to Seattle defensive end Michael Bennett

its easily jatavis brown of akron

More instinctual and finds the football more than deion jones similar level athlete although a little undersized which will keep him on the board longer

If miami took this with its high 3 id have no problem with it

Vigil's little bro?
This is interesting as well, he might be the better player of the brothers?

But I like Matakevich more than Wright because he's not a complete and total slug. Just seems like a hard nosed kinda guy with decent instincts. Not sure where he'll go but I think he would be a solid addition.

Would be hard to argue against a Glades Central alum.

Hes better lined up inside the formation than any wolb prospect not named myles jack...recognition wise

A little light for take on which gets him in trouble a little bit once reached but hes explosive as heck and a little raw in coverage...if deion jones had his instincts and nose for the ball hed be a top 20 pick

But he doesnt...5 foot 10 and change 227 lbs if he makes it to day 3 i will be shocked...undersized and all

Its one of the more instinctual lbs ive seen on tape in the class

I even think with the instincts for the position i see at 235 he could play mike
