I've seen some pretty bad writers (The Miami Herald has a couple) but IMO, Ethan Skolnick from the FLorida Sun-Sentinel takes the cake! If there is anything that I dislike more than a sports writer reporting unreliable information, is a sports writer that doesn't provide any significant new information, has no substantial interviews with players or personnel managers and takes his time to "lecture" you about something that is trivial, common knowledge and not very interesting. Thus we have, that "Leave it to Beaver", awful Ethan Skonick. The writer that irritates me the most. I can't believe that he has a job that has him covering not just the Dolphins but also the Miami Heat!

Anyway, out of curiosity, is there anyone out there that is even worse?

I would have to say Dan Le Basatard even though he's not a dolphins only sports writer but the times he decideds to do an article for the fins it's always a bad one..

Armando Salguero - Dan LeBetard - Tie

They never write anything positive about the fins, you always hear their opinion when somebody messes up or something bad happens. They especially dont like the fact that Saban wants privacy now.

Personally, I like Ethan Skolnick's columns.

I don't like Salguero after the incident last year. I don't like Le Batard who is a self-important idiot.
And I will never forget Greg Cote calling for the dolphins to trade Marino and make Scott Mitchell their QB of the future..

Above is a link to Skolnick's profile here on FinHeaven. He's a member here. His last activity here was one week ago today... but his most recent post was last August.

Feel free to look through his posts, and most of all, feel free to contact him via PM or e-mail to let him know how you feel :yell: .

Be sure to keep us all posted on your correspondence.

Oh yeah, Armando Salguero (****y attitude-havin', Denver Bronco-lovin', H. Wayne-infuriating, Story-changin', Beligirent e-mailin', high-fivin', so-called Dolphins writer) is by far and away the worst writer, and worthy of boycott by any and all DolFans everywhere.

If you scan Ethan's posts, you will come across a thread about Armando Salguero and Jason Cole's infamous high-five, and an exchange of e-mail between Armando Salguero and one of our members that uncovered a web of lies and cover-ups by Armando. It is a must-read for any self-respecting member of FinHeaven...

So go make a pot of coffee, block out the next 3-4 hours, and read that entire thread... and THEN tell me who you think the worst Dolphins writer is.

I don't know what's worse: Dan LeBetard's articles or Dan LeBetard's radio show. He's horrible...

Ethan Skolnick (SS) is OK in my book. Charles Bricker (SS) is great, but he covers the full spectrum of sports. Ed Pope (MH) was the best and Ernest Hemingway seemed to agree.

Alex "That said..." Marvez is pretty annoying too, I'll give you that. THAT SAID, I'm sticking with Armando.

Thanks for the link and info re: Skolnick. I'm reading some of his posts now, including the Armando Salguero exposure as a big fat liar. I didn't realize that AS and JC were so classless. Anyway, I'm gonna post a couple of points before I continue to read EJS' posts:

1. I have felt no need to PM or email him about how I feel about his articles. His supervisors should be guiding/instructing/mentoring him. He's obviously young and everyone needs that at some point or the other. I am not saying that I am a better writer (which of course, I"m not). However, taken the fact that I did post what I posted (perhaps I was too harsh), I will take the time to email him at the Sun-Sentinel and provide him some feedback about how I feel about articles that he has written. Sometimes it's better not to write an article until there is some substance to fill the article with. Unfortunately, his articles, IMO are hollow. He needs to do more interviews with players and develop relationships/trust with team officials, NFL execs, and other people around the league so that he can give us fans more insightful info than he currently does.

2. My post was made in reference to who is the worst sports writer, IMO and other people's opinion. Worst can be interpreted differently. I interpret(ed) it as having gotten little to no new knowledge out of an article...A waste of time basically. That's why JC and AS weren't on the top of my list because they usually have something new to report about potential signings, releases, etc...However, worst can also be applied as unscrupulous, corrupt, classless, etc., which would definitely apply to AS and JC if it was true that they did what they are accused of having done. Shame on them.

They are all pretty bad.... Salguero and lebatard especially. Theres also some guy on here who does the betting corner, I dont know who he is, but he is horrible.

If he actually puts money on his bets, I would be suprised if he still owns property.
