I know that we have some bigger needs , i assume most are in favor of drafting a DB or O lineman in this round but say ray rice from rutgers slips into the third round i feel like he has tremendous potential and would be a steal in the third any comments?

I love Ray Rice...I think he will be gone by the end of the 2nd, so YES if he is around in the THIRD you would have to take a look. I think he will be a lot like Maurice Jones-Drew,,,,small but tough to tackle. I think this might be the round to take a QB: Flacco, Henne, maybe Booty from USC ?...depends on how they do in the combines.

Once you get past the first round and about half of the second round, it becomes really hard to guess what player we should take. I don't know how all these people that have mock drafts on the internet can even begin to think they know who is going to be available in the 3rd and how teams even feel about those players. I'd rather sit back and let the chips fall where they may...

im not a big fan of it but if we are to select a backfield guy i would love to pick up devin hester out of lsu and convert him to fullback. we have alot of guys in the rb position at the moment but only maui at fb if im correct. i'd like to see hester come in and compete with maui..the kid can run, catch, a great blocker and excellent character. he should also be available in the lower rounds and come fairly cheap.

Rice would be perfect pick in the 3rd. But I doubt he will be available.
RU also has 2 good O-Linemen to take a look at Sosa and Zuttah and also Fladdell in the late rounds.

sefins where are you in central jersey ? i live in highstown

If he's available I would go after DE Jeremy Thompson from Wake Forest. Absolutely a stone wall against the run. Not much of a sack threat but you will not run against him. If CB Trae Williams fell that far he would be another I would consider but I'm not sure if Parcells would

Gotta go with Dre Moore DT Maryland.

He might fall in the 4th but guy is going to be great.

This of course is if we take Chris Long with the first pick.

RB while we have R.B. RW Chatman BookeR? RIGHTT good choice SPIELMENS

I like Bruce Davis a lot and not just because he's a Bruin. The guy looks like everything Parcells would want in a DE/OLB tweener. Athletic, non-stop motor, hard working, great intangibles, excellent leadership and intensity, great speed and pursuit, versatile, productive, and can be just dominant at times. Definitely a great fit in a 3-4. If he works out well, may be worth a 3rd and at least a 4th. This guy is a Jason Taylor clone and even considers JT his idol. And if he bulks up a bit, could be like a DeMarcus Ware-lite for us.

ya but davis i believe is about 230 lbs or so. usually bill ikes his LBs' big around the 245 and up range. almost all teh guys hes drafted are that size from spencer to carpenter to ware etc etc.

Kevin Burnett was 240 as I recall and he was a Parcells 2nd round pick. Marc Megna, a Parcells 99' pick was 6'2 240 as well. James Farrior, 6'2, 243. Davis may be a tad more than 230 (he has flirted with the 240+ range as well) but he doesn't look like a lightweight. He most certainly has the frame to pack on 5-10 pounds without missing a beat. Ultimately, it comes down to whether you want a guy just because he's 250 pounds or a guy who's more intense and non-stop.
