Madison would be too much of a cap hit but not Surtain and expect them to get rid of Surtain for a player and a pick and just straight up release Knight.

Financially, Surtain is the better choice. Logically, we want them both. Madison keeps restructuring his contract, he WANTS to retire in Miami, he will take paycuts and even said he will play nickel if needed be. Have you seen his house? This guy doesnt want to move and will be here forever.

Surtain's knee is a question mark. Surtain is younger, the better player, but injured and will cost more. Our defense is too good, we need to trade a good defensive player for offensive help. We are like 90/10 defense/offense.

Most superbowl teams are around 50/50. With the exception of the Ravens and Bucs, take a look at the Pats, I would say perfect 50/50 distribution.

Also Surtain next year will want a contract, I dont see him wanting to take the same pay. Howard will be our nickel, and Poole might move up to the #2 or #1 spot.

This season is a wash, this team SUCKS. I expect to see Poole in there more often and give Surtain some rest so he doesnt re-aggrevate his knee. we need to sacrifice a player on defense to get offensive help desperately. We have 3 shotdown corners IMO... I dont think Howard is one but hes a great nickel back. Give Poole more time to develop this year and let him see more snaps. That way we can make a good personell move at the end of the season knowing if this kid can play at the Surtain/Madison level.
