Jakeem Grant, WR, Miami Dolphins

2 catches, 70 yards, 2 TDs in 28-20 win over Raiders

Why it matters: Talk about efficiency, Grant played just nine snaps on Sunday but made as big an impact as any Dolphins player. He's one of the NFL's smallest players at 5-foot-7, 169 pounds, but he showed off his 4.3 speed on a 52-yard trick play TD and an 18-yard TD reception on a shovel pass. He's one of the Dolphins' versatile playmakers who have set the stage for a 3-0 start.

I am just happy they are not highlighting X. I want opposing teams to keep throwing Howard's way and let the ints. continue to add up.

I don't think Brady is going to go after X unless Josh Gordon is like old Josh Gordon and he feels he can out high point/physical X. X dominated his boy Cooks last year, Brady is too smart. He will attack McCain, Alonso, McMillan, Baker, TJ and Minkah.

I wonder if we'll respect Gordon enough to have X shadow him or take a "wait and see" approach.

If Howard is the dude we all think he is, you put him on an island.

Said it in another thread - might have been on the VIP forum - but Grant or Wilson should be running jet-sweep action on the majority of neutral downs. That doesn't mean they have to get the ball all the time or even half the time, but high-end speed puts all kinds of pressure on the D. It will open running and passing lanes. It also slows the pass rush. I watched the KC/SF game yesterday, and Mahomes was not particularly sharp. He made a few spectacular throws, but he also missed a number of wide-open WR's on drives where KC would eventually score a TD. Reid created wide-open receivers, and a bunch of short passes turned into big gains. The speed of Hill and Watkins flashing across the field put the SF D in a no-win situation.

The Rams also do this very well - even though Cooks is really their only speed WR - and the Eagles did the same thing with Agholor in 2017.

Grant and Wilson need to play much more.

Surprising that he was in only 9 plays. Given his special team role that really isn't much playing time.

we only had 44 snaps and dvp coming back had 33. someone had to come off and it was grant.

albert only had 10 snaps. yet amendola got 31? dont like that. your 2 most explosive offensive players combined for 19 snaps while parker and amendola had over 30 each. imagine this offense last sunday without wilson and grant. how many points does it score?

Vincent taylor. Great pursuit of the ball down the field, good back and front side lateral flow, impact on the qb as a pass rusher.

Miami has to be overjoyed with its defensive tackle play. All 4 guys run like their hairs on fire to the ball

Mctyer showed off some pretty good feet Sunday. Needs to be a more sure tackler but I liked his foot work

grants.stills and Wilson. they are x factory on this team. keep these guy busy on sunday.
