I am okay with giving Pep another yr w/lemon there to step in and grooming a qb for the future.
Brady Quinn with the 9th pick if he is still on the board, have DC and Lemon battle it out to start, cut Joey. We might have to wait until next year to draft a QB.
I'd rather start Quinn if he falls to 9. What's wrong with a little baptism by fire?
Some might use what happen to Joey Harrington in Detroit as an example. I think that's BS. You can't shatter a real baller's confidence. You were either made to play or you weren't.
So we're not going to make him prove himself? Daunte has been successful in this league in the past, he deserves a shot next season and he will get it. I don't want to waste what could be JT and ZTs last year on a rookie QB.
That's exactly what Quinn would be doing on the field- proving himself.
It could be a waste eitherway. You don't know if Quinn will come in here and lead this team like Ben Rothlisburger/Vince Young or flop like a Ryan Leaf and you don't know if Daunte is going to comeback from his injuries(s).
By the way, making decisions with only JT and ZT in mind, as much as I love them both, is not what's best for our franchise. And make no mistake about it, I was a fan long before they came and will be way after they are gone.
I just heard that whoever got mad when lemon was traded to miami from ?? was it the bolts! someone must have held him in high reguard ..
