QB Situation #2 and 3

As far as Qbs to bring in or who Cam might take a look at? Joeys prob gone , so does that mean Lemon at 2 or would we try for someone else?

I am okay with giving Pep another yr w/lemon there to step in and grooming a qb for the future.

That's most likely going to be the scenario. Daunte will be the QB for sure not only because he's still a good player, but who else is going to come in and start next year? Lemon definitely earned a roster spot for next year and Cameron loves him. The rookie who could be groomed should be Drew Stanton.

I expect our QB depth chart to look like this heading into 2007:

1. Daunte Culpepper
2. Cleo Lemon
3. Drew Stanton

Look good?

Brady Quinn with the 9th pick if he is still on the board, have DC and Lemon battle it out to start, cut Joey. We might have to wait until next year to draft a QB.

Thanks for posting! I think lemon can be good , not saying this year but next!

I just heard that whoever got mad when lemon was traded to miami from ?? was it the bolts! someone must have held him in high reguard ..

I'd rather start Quinn if he falls to 9. What's wrong with a little baptism by fire?

Some might use what happen to Joey Harrington in Detroit as an example. I think that's BS. You can't shatter a real baller's confidence. You were either made to play or you weren't.

So we're not going to make him prove himself? Daunte has been successful in this league in the past, he deserves a shot next season and he will get it. I don't want to waste what could be JT and ZTs last year on a rookie QB.

I think quinn is good to but i dont think he will fall to us! unless cam is willing to go get him. I dont see him giving up picks..

quinn to miami at 9 could be i heard today his stock is dropping.

That's exactly what Quinn would be doing on the field- proving himself.

It could be a waste eitherway. You don't know if Quinn will come in here and lead this team like Ben Rothlisburger/Vince Young or flop like a Ryan Leaf and you don't know if Daunte is going to comeback from his injuries(s).

By the way, making decisions with only JT and ZT in mind, as much as I love them both, is not what's best for our franchise. And make no mistake about it, I was a fan long before they came and will be way after they are gone.

Yeah I agree about making decisions based on two players, but what I'm trying to say is that our defense is still very good and may not be like this for a few years again. I want to try to win now instead of preparing for the future. Take the Carson Palmer approach and sit down Quinn for his first year and let him learn the game before he takes the test.

I keep on hearing that we should draft a QB for the future, but isn't that what we have in Lemon

Both M. Schotty and Cameron did not want to see him go.
