I think this is a major hole for us. We have guys that can do the job but pretty much only returned kicks in high school. You get rid of ginn and replace him with no one in the kicking game. We are going to have to pick someone up from a team when cuts come around. I hate how this is being over looked. Any thoughts on what our options are at kick return?

Cobbs until someone beats him out, which i hope happens. Cobbs consistently got us to around the 25-30, but wasn't a threat to break a long one. of all the players currently on the roster, i can only see Nolan Carroll or Tristan Davis challenging Cobbs. that's if the returner is already on the roster. we could still bring in a KR/WR from another team when roster cuts are made.

I know we have guys there, so maybe its a philosphical difference in their thinking... I guess they just need a guy to field a kick safely and get above the 20. Because I dont see big play written over any one of our options there. We have no fast players on our team. Who is the fasttest, tristan davis and or nolan carroll?

Clemons or Vontae Davis. Clemons got that 95 acceleration and 93 speed and Davis got that 97 acceleration and 94 speed. Guaranteed a kick return touchdown everygame.

This is porbably our biggest hole on the team. We need to find someone to get us into good field position consistantly, maybe not take 1 to the house every game, but atleast not get us to the 20 every time. Its a HUGE boost to your offense when you only have to drive 50yds, instead of 70/80 yds. I hope the PR/KR is on this team, if not we have to go out and find one ASAP!!!

Too bad this is reality we're speaking of.

Anybody but Cobbs please. I'm hoping either Caroll or Tristan Davis.

i'd say Carroll is the fastest our of those three, but that's only a guess. i have no idea how fast Tristan Davis is.

other KR/WR guys i think could become available:

Ted Ginn, San Francisco (:-D ok that was just a joke. scratch him)
Quan Cosby, Cincinnati
Roscoe Parrish, Buffalo
Syndric Steptoe, Cleveland
Michael Spurlock, Tampa Bay
Titus Ryan, Dallas
Sinorice Moss, NY Giants
Danny Woodhead, NY Jets
Larry Taylor, NY Jets
Tim Toone, Detroit
Yamon Figurs, Oakland
Danny Amendola, St. Louis
Stefan Logan, Pittsburgh
Ray Small, Minnesota
Darius Reynaud, Minnesota

when i watched them doing kick returns at practice Carroll and Tristan Davis looked pretty fast, i wouldnt be surprised to see one of these 2 guys to win the returner job.

lmao at madden ratings..thanks for the advice, ill try them out

I hope, we know how to defend against faster guys even though we dont have one returning right now...I hope they really have a plan or something because I remember 2 years ago how we would get torched on special teams...raiders..remember that game? We won it but they were down a touch down and all they needed was a return and they did it. of course we came back and kicked the field goal but we definately downgraded in this department.

Id take, parrish, figurs, amendola, logan, cosby....the others i havent heard much about,

Hoping it was gonna be Grice-Mullen, but obviously not. I think the Trifecta really dropped the ball by releasing Ginn. Yea he was an inconsistant S.O.B, BUT HE WAS SO FAST. That also helped strech the field with Henne's arm. As much as I love the Trifecta (although not completely sold on Ireland yet) they are not perfect. Whenever I get all upset over say wasting a second rounder on Pat White, I just think about Lousaka Polite and I remember nobody's perfect and we still the ****.

I would rather have a big fat tackle returning kicks than still have Ginn on this team. Ginn sucks. Maybe Carroll or T. Davis will run upfield instead of towards the sidelines.
