under wanny and his terrible drafts we were predominantly a veteran team that relied on FA to upgrade and not the draft. every blind squirrel finds a nut though, and wanny did manage to hit on chambers and mcmichael. however, since 2002, we've yet to have a draftee emerge as an impact player. ronnie brown aside (he was #2 overall, he better be a stud), what young guy do you all think will emerge this season as an impact player for us? right now it seems like all we really have is hope for guys and nothing concrete that says "this kid is gonna be a stud."

i think crowder, but again it's not a sure thing, it's hoping more than anything.

Crowder ,Vickerson, and Wright this season and Derek Hagan next season.

I am really looking forward to seeing what Derek Hagan can do for this team in the comming years. He was a stud at ASU and it was ridiculous how far he fell in the draft. One bad week literally knocked him 2 rounds down. He caught a bad wrap for his bad hands when that is probably the tool that sets him apart from most people. He will be a great posession WR for years to come for us. He kind of reminds me of a young Keyshawn Johnson.

jason allen, matt roth, manny wright, derek hagan this season. I didn't say Crowder because i already think he has emerged.

yeah im high on both vickerson and wright but, with the veterans we have on the D line i dont know how much time they are gonna get. i know wright is supposed to see more time but he's probably still a year away from nailing down a starting spot and being and impact in the middle.

Crowder for sure.

We've got some guys like Rodrique Wright, Manny Wright, Deke Cooper, Derek Hagan, Matt Roth, Travis Daniels, and maybe even Derrick Pope who could all turn out to be good, some even great.

I really think we're going to find some talent on the offensive line out of the guys we've drafted and signed through free agency. Joe Toledo, Bennie Anderson, Anthony Alabi, and Mike Pearson being some of them.

i think this is the year that vernon carey comes into his own. as far as the rookies when jason allen gets his but to camp hes prolly gonna be the star in the secondary he covers like a corner and hits like a safety

Well, you'd expect that Jason Allen will make an impact, being a first round pick...

I would like to see the Manatee make a difference this year, albeit in a backup role to Traylor. The other area is the WR area. Campbell has a legit shot at unseating WW as #3 WR and can Hagan, Aromo, or Vick unseat WW at the PR spot ?? I think it's a legit possiblity...I love to see a fierce battle between those 4 guys for PT...

On the OL, it would be nice to see Alabi show something, abeit more than likely in a backup role. To get a solid 5 starters out of the mish-mash we have would be nice too, which would mean that Carey, Hadnot, LJ and Anderson have to step up.

It's going to be a fun camp to watch, I surely wish I still lived in SF to watch camp once in a while, but it'll be fun watching thru the eyes of my Finheaven brethren....
