At this point I am comfortable saying that Richard Marshall is the Miami Dolphins' new starting Free Safety. More than a guess.

I wouldn't say his range is functionally special, but he's clearly fast and has the 4.42 at the Combine to prove it.

As a safety, he's a very quick-hipped guy with lots of stop-start ability. Not a power tackler but a solid one with strong hands.

2) He played a lot more safety than people think. In the two games I've watched, that's the majority of his snaps.

From what I saw you don't want him playing tight man to man on the perimeter unless he's got safety help. He can play off cover or cover two

Been watching some Richard Marshall. I have some thoughts. 1) He's not a corner. Or at least if you play him there, he's very limited.
