That 350 yards and 2 tds from Tannehill wouldn't be enough to win games with this defense before the season started?

The defense is worse than last year.

Tannehill could have played better, but he is not why we lost. Both lines are soft and getting pushed around. The whole team was undisciplined, and we have been totally outcoached in both games. Many will want to place all the blame on Ryan, but he's not the knid of QB that can win by himself, there are not many QBs that can in this league. This is one of those losses that's just tough to take, but that being said, if we use it as motivation to beat the Jills next week, then it might be worth the pain.

Defense was bad. But it did shut out Jacksonville all second half of the game. And the Miami O had MANY chances to make something happen all second half after the sole TD to start. Multiple miscues and Tannehill failed in the spotlight when great QB's step up. It was an awful effort. Stats are irrelevant, making plays when they're most needed is more important.

Tannehill has a healthy looking stat line these past two games. The reality is he hasn't made enough plays as a QB through the entire games. Yeah it's a team effort but special guys find those special plays when they are not obvious.

Giving up 23 points is pitching a shutout? OK. Good analysis there.

and Miami still lose despite pitching a shutout? I'm confused.

People need to stop looking past teams especially playing on the road. Every game is tough especially on the road. The dolphins are weak in key areas of tys team notibly the oline and secondary. If you guys bought into the "expert" expectations given these deficiencies, I dunno what to tell you. This is another 7-9 to 8-8 season.

23 points is not good but not bad either. Offense again did not score enough. Another F for Lazor.

when you have no run game and no turnovers or sacks on defense it will happen when a QB throws for 350 yards and 2 tds 0 ints and cant get a win.

The only reason the offense cant do anything is cuz after 10 yrs we still havent fixed the oline. Whether its the player, coaches, or a combo of both they will cost us yet another season this yr. We failed to address LB and OL in the offseason which were our 2 biggest needs. Defense is embarrasing to have our front 4 and get NO pressure on the Jags who are awful and give up multiple sacks every game.

It's one thing to lose on the road to a better team. It's another to beat yourself with poor playcalling, penalties, and poor execution.

What is your definition of a shut out? The Jags scored 23 points ran for 124 yards and passed for 275 not to mention we didnt sack Bortles one legitimate time after he had been sacked 5 times the previous week.

The coaching staff is beyond incompetent. We need a new word added to the English language to accurately describe the incompetence of this staff.

My phone doesn't divert to autocorrect posting here. Was supposed to say all second half. And that was just one of many typos in that post. Apologies.

Giving up 23 points to Blake Bortles and the Jaguars should put the league on notice,if they hadn't already noticed, that the Dolphins defense is a paper tiger. The Dolphins Offense isn't consistent enough to outscore most teams. Going to be a long season.
