Who would you have taken with same picks? Something we can look back on before we start slating Hickey with hindsight.

Draft

I would have traded with Browns and taken their 26 & 83rd pick. I would have kept all other picks.

1(26) - Joel Bitonio OT
2(50) - Carlos Hyde RB
3(81) - Louis Nix DT
3(83) - Donte Moncrief WR
4(116) - AJ McCarron QB
5(155) - Antone Exum CB
6(190) - Laurent Duvarnay-Tardif OT
7(234) - Yawin Smallwood ILB
 
Who would you take with the same picks....then you factor a trade with the browns into it....its not the same picks then ..is it ???
 
Yeah...you can but you started your post with ...who would you have taken with the same picks ...then you traded back and picked 26th instead of 19th..so its not the same picks , is it.....like your picks though.

You start with the same picks but nfl rules allow trades. If a GM has an interview with Ross and he asks 'what would you have done with same picks? I'm sure some smart want-to-be GM first answer would be, well I would have traded out of that first pick!

The point is you're taking an imaginary reality, and then basing your choices on that make believe scenario. I'm not making fun of you, I'm just not sure what the point is??

I thought you wanted to match picks with Hickey. you're bringing in a fictional trade to create an entirely different draft possibility with 5 new draft slots and the benefit of hindsight.
the title says "who would you take?", not "what would you do?"
It's just confusing.
what you would have done with 19, 63, 67, 125, 155, 171, 190 & 234?
 
If we keep the same picks and I couldn't make any trades at all I'd have taken:

19 - Ja'Wuan James
63 - Jarvis Landry
67 - Chris Borland
125 - Dakota Dozier
155 - Caraun Reid
171 - Jordan Tripp
190 - Marion Grice
234 - Seantrel Henderson
 
If were going same picks i'd have picked ....

19- darqueze dennard -cb
31- morgan moses -ot
67- trai turner -og
125- kevin pierre louis -lb
155- arron murray -qb
177- lache seastrunk - rb
190- matt hazel -wr
234-shane skov -lb


Must admit later round prospects i dont know a great deal about so i'd stick with hazel in the 6th but take a flyer on skov in the 7th...
 
But........ if we DID trade down in the 1st and got the saints 3rd rd pick and also didn't trade up for Billy Turner for our 4th rd pick, i'd have taken:

27 - Ja'Wuan James
63 - Jarvis Landry
81 - Louis Nix
91 - Trai Turner
116 - Ka'Deem Carey
125 - Telvin Smith
155 - Caraun Reid
171 - Jordan Tripp
190 - Andrew Jackson
234 - Seantrel Henderson
 
I am not a fan of McCarron....to me that would have been a wasted pick with Moore and Devlin still around. I would have selected a RB over Lynch. We can use a quality TE, but Lynch seems to mainly be a blocking TE. Another Fasano or Egnew....but we need to see what these guys can do before we do a re-draft. PATIENCE!!!

Only problem with this is that its been reported/speculated that KC had their sites set on James so there's a very good chance he would not have been there at 27...of course unless Andy Reid comes out and blatantly states that they would've taken him there is no way to be 100% sure
