Who would you guys like? I, for one, would be content with either of those 3 as interim coach.

If they go outside they must satisfy Rooney Rule. NFL clarified that this morning

I think I could live with Rizzi or Campbell if we go with an insider. Going outside, I would look to Schwartz or Shannahan. You could also consider Schwartz if we fire Coyle.

If we fire Philbin, then I can't see how the DC is retained?

Hiring someone off the street now is unrealistic. If new leadership is chosen today it will be from the inside.

Rizzi because of his fire, the respect he has of the players and he has head coach experience.

Neither of those are ready to be a HC... Let's be serious.. but if you made Cambell interim coach you basically lose him as he won't be coming back as a TE coach next season.

And I doubt Schwartz even considers it.

That seems like the logic decision but remember Schwartz and Tannebaum have a history together from way back. He may be telling Ross that there isn't anyone on the staff now that can coach this team. And Schwartz is a good defensive coach, with HC experience, and has coach Suh before.

Whichever disagreed with Philbin the most.

We have to go outside. I don't care if there are extra hoops to jump through. Top to bottom this current coaching staff is garbage. This team desperately needs new blood and an outside voice. Ideally, Schwartz as DC with someone else as hc would be best but at this point I just want the current coaching staff gone.

Either Rizzi or Cambell ... fire Coyle ... hire Swartz.

schwartz as dc

Why would he come here as DC?? Don't get me wrong....I would love for that to happen! But if he comes here, I believe it will be as an interim coach with the promise to get heavy considerations next year for the permanent coaching position, after the Rooney Rule has been met.
