Ted Ginn Jr-I personally think he is faster than Hester, however it takes Ginn like 10 yards to shift gears, and thats the part of Hesters game where he can switch just like that.Ted Ginn lacks burst and agility, but pure speed,I dont think it would be that hard to tell.Ginn had like 3-4 returns called back,if it werent for those PHANTOMN calls,he'd be idolized more than Hester.

Devin Hester-Don't get me wrong, this guy if one of the fastest in the game, but he just doesnt look as fast as Ginn. Now,Hester,HANDS DOWN,has the best jukes and overall quickness and burst in the league...and most likely the best vision. But if you look at the tapes,he rarely uses his speed, its mostly what he does before he has to use it.I mean, you all know how bad the special teams was for Ginn, and he could have had a potential Devin Hetser-like season with 5-6 return TD's,and I bet anything Devin couldn't do it with the special teams we have, the Bears special teams is among the best in the game. Therefore Hester might have to juke 2-3 guys while Ginn has to look around the whole field before he makes his move.

MY CHOICE:Ted Ginn Jr.:woot:

That's exactly what it is. Ginn is faster, but Hester's awareness and juking ability is unparalleled. He can see a hole open up and act on it before anyone even knows he's there. I think he may even be better than Gale Sayers. That having been said, I think Ginn cand definitely unseat Joshua Cribbs as the AFC's answer to Hester.

I think they both fast but neither proven tp be the fastest in the NFL. Deangelo Hall, Fabian Washington, Allen rossum, Justin Miller, reggie Bush, Ike Taylor, Jerome Mathis and some others are very similar in speed. I personally think DEangelo Hall is the fastest and that Hershal Walker was the fastest ever.

not saying your wrong but how has Fabian Washington proven to be fastest? by getting burnt all the time? looks like you get your speed info from madden...

Madden is way off sometimes I went by actual electronic times. Washington has been timed a little under 4.3. Getting beat is one thing, Its like saying Ginn is not fast because he only averages 11 yards a catch, some cb's like Surtain used to stick wr's like glue and they were no where near the fastest. Speed is quite overrated.

Maybe straight line speed but not recovery speed. Huge quality for a great cover corner. Everyone gets beat from time to time. Getting back to the ball is extremely important. I agree with you though. Just because you can run a 4-3 does not mean you will be a great corner.

yea i know what your saying.. i was not saying he is not fast because he gets burnt. And i know speed is over rated but i just happen to think that if you let ginn get to his top speed no one is gonna be able to keep up. and this is from a non ginn fan

I don't think Ginn would have been idolized more than Hester if he had made both of those returns. That means he would have had 3 returns for TD's to Hester's 6.

I dont know I think we hear that every year about a receiver, the best receivers succeed on much more than speed. I have no doubt that that Deangelo Hall is fast enough to keep up with Ginn. If it was all about speed than Renaldo nehemiah would have dominated.

Ginn is faster, but Hester has better moves. Even if you watch Ginn at O$U, he got most of his TDs based on speed alone and struggled a bit when he had to change directions (I am talking about just returns, not his recieving). Hester can make people look silly with some of his moves.
