If you are one of those who wishes we would have taken Cadillac Williams, or if the enthusiasm of getting Ronnie has worn down a little, read this:

I was playing around on a search engine and I found these pre-draft scouting reviews on Ronnie.

Willis McGahee, your days as the AFC East's most promising back of the future just ended, my friend.

I still think we should have gone QB in this draft and im still bitter about not trading down some and getting Rodgers and having another first round pick which was beyond possible. Sigh..let me see Ronnie play a few games and gain 10000000 yards and ill come around. Cheers!

Like what the hacks...bwahahahahahahahaha...sorry..

where was I...?...Oh ....what the hacks who write that site say really matter..

Ronnie Brown is really talented, but until he proves he can carry an NFL load, against NFL players, hes still 100% unproven.

Slow down.

Whew...I'm winded.

Why was it "beyond possible"? There wasnt a ton of talent at the top of this draft and Saban wasnt going to give the #2 pick away.

We needed a guy that can help both our running and passing game and that was Ronnie. Smith was the only QB that i think that can start his rookie year, while IMO Rodgers will need about 2 or 3 years to develop into a good starting QB.

Boy, how did I know that was coming?

No one, in any spectrum of the game, can ever come close to your precious little bills, huh.

You are the best in everything.

...allright, I did NOT want to turn this thread into another Fins/bills fan pi$$ing match, so if you disagree with something, hold it to yourself.

This thread is strictly for Ronnie. Ignore this bills fans.

Ronnie could be very good, could be Better than Willis...but some pre draft speculation isn't gonna ruffle my feathers yet:D

I didn't post it to "ruffle your feathers."

I posted it to re-kindle the excitement about him on this DOLPHINS (not bills) message board.

So, like I said, IGNORE IT.

Since when is trading a pick "giving it away"? The opportunities werent as evident as they are in other drafts because of the depth in this draft and the lack of "studs" coming out...we all know this. However they could have traded another one of their picks..a la Seahawks etcc...after Rodgers had fallen and still taken him before Green Bay. In other words....there were ways to get the spot filled, they just chose not to. Hence my bitterness. Regardless Brown is a good pick up and perhaps in this years draft there will be a QB Saban likes more than he obviously liked Rodgers. QB is still without a doubt our most pressing need...it was before...and after the draft.

So you'd accept a bad trade? Glad your not our GM. They tried to trade the pick desperately and got no where near fair value so they stuck where they were. Rodgers blows also. There was a reason 23 teams passed on him.

Didnt seem like we could get equal value for the #2 pick, thus giving it away if we decided to trade down. And we were trying to get more picks, so trading up to get Rodgers wasnt realistic imo. Plus Rodgers hasnt looked very impressive so far in camp, and there is a reason why he kept falling in the draft.

I am still excited that we got Brown. You may think QB was our biggest need before the draft, but RB definitely was because Saban couldn't just ASSUME that Ricky was coming back and we still don't know if he will be able to get back in shape and run like he used to. And everyone is so quick to hate Feeley even when they know the circumstances of last year (NEW OFFENSE, bad O-line, no running game). To me, this is a fresh year for Feeley and Brown will help him out in the passing game.
