Look, we drafted John Beck with the intentions of him being our QB of the future. He has only played a handful of games and will be going into his 2nd season. Give him a chance.... Drew Brees didn't just blow up and have an outstanding rookie season. Face it, how many QB's really do have a great 1st season? We signed McCown, now I know he isn't an answer at QB long term... but he and John Beck can go into next season as our QB's. After next season, if we're still in the same spot as we are now, then yes maybe we would need to address the QB position earlier in the draft, but right now I think this draft needs to be spent on getting younger and deeper on defense, and we need to snag a couple of starters on the o-line. And hey, does anybody really expect us to be an outstanding team next season? This thing isn't going to be perfect after 1 draft and 1 free agency period. We'll probably be picking in the top 10 next season, so who knows what QB's will be available then.
