Miami is not in a rebuilding phase. So stop whining about the picks the FO is making. I'm sure the coaching staff realizes what areas they need. Everyone who is posting "they should have picked...." crap is just that...CRAP!! you guys are not NFL scouts and do not know or have any idea whom Miami needs. SO QUIT ********!

[mod] don't spell out curse words [/mod]

i dunno but did new england just get alot better with smart draft picks? chad jackson and lawrence maroney...joe toledo great pick

Because this is finheaven. Negativity is its middle name ;)

Why the negativity? Here's what I said in another post:

Contrary to all of you optimists out there, there is a sizeable faction of people that hate this draft. I don't like Allen; I like safeties to be physical, and I have seen no evidence that he is physical. He reminds me of the ex-volunteer safety Deon Grant who also wasn't very physical, would get run over in college, and hasn't exactly lit the world on fire in the pros. I like Hagan, but Toledo...reminds me of all of those JJ offensive line midround picks that never pan out.

I'm not a pessimist. I just don't have a knee-jerk positive reaction to everything our coaching staff says or does. Skepticism is healthy.

By the way, FYI, I immediately loved our draft last year, so contrary to what you guys may think, many of the skeptics out there are probably not knee-jerkers.

Welcome to Draft Weekend here at Finheaven...it's like this every year.(check out the "Ronnie will be a bust!" threads from last draft) I've just come to accept it.

:boohoo: Nick Saban didn't pick the guy I wanted to pick :boohoo:

I don't understand the negativity either. Saban has given us NO reason to doubt his decisions over the past year and so-many months he's been in charge.

I'd understand if he brought in Reggie Howard, but Saban has done nothing to deserve all the negativity coming from Fin fans.

Becasue the people here don't know how saban Drafts players....

Saban selects Best player available OR best value at the pick.

NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "Hey we need a LB lets waste value and reach for one"

The fact of the matter is that Sabn has gotten Excellent value for each of his first three picks. Allen was a Top 10 until his injury so we gained value. Hagan was the most polished receiver in the draft till he had a bad senior bowl playing with a bunch of strangers. And now Toledo Is a good value pick...never mind that Saban Drafts for the long term!!!!!!!

Stop Freaking out!!!!! Everyone...And i mean EVERYONE besdies the poeple here have this as a good draft....Take your heads out of the sand!

Not true. I had no one in particular in mind for Saban to pick. I just never liked Allen--way before I even thought that Saban might pick him.

he was the 10th best OT prospect in the entire draft. we stole this guy. every team wants an OT. not to mention this guy is freakishly athletic for an OT since he has played TE. excellent selection. do you notice that our picks come in really quickly. we already had derek hagan and this guy targeted and pounced on them

Ok stop right there. He might end up being good. I have no idea. I'm skeptical but not completely inflexible (like that idiot in Washington). But to say we stole that Toledo guy....
:sidelol:

Last year everyone was laughing at the Patriots and wondering who Logan Mankins and Nick Kaczur were. Turned out they were starters, so who knows at this point:)
