Dolphins SLB Koa Misi is viewed as a candidate for release this offseason.
Misi is entering the final year of his contract, and the Dolphins can save $4.2 million against the cap by cutting him. It seems like a no-brainer mover for Mike Tannenbaum and Co. after Misi missed all but three games due to a serious neck injury that was initially viewed as career-threatening. Misi is now expected to resume his career, but Miami is expected to re-do its linebacker group. Jan 23 - 12:26 PM

We all know what Jordan is about & how much of a bust he is & doesn't care.

Why does it matter, can't spend any of the money saved tell the 9 th of March.

You're talking about Nawa'akoa Lisiate Foti Analeseanoa Misi? Yes that is his real name. I presume Koa is being kept as insurance for now until they figure out where they end up at LB. If they still need bodies at the position after the draft and FA(I sure hope not), then Misi will provide value if healthy.

I see Dion Jordan as a wildcard that they still wanna roll the dice on. They went this far with him why not finish up his rookie deal.

Makes no sense to cut Jordan until he gets some playing time.

This isn't the sport for sympathizers. Jordan hasn't even earned the right to take a dump in our locker room let alone time on the field.

I'll now step back and allow the jokes to manifest on their own.

...imo, in the head coaches eyes he probably has. He's stayed clean for over a year and by all accounts is training again. His trainer posted a pic of him the other day. His arms look more muscular than they ever have. Couldn't really see the legs but they didn't appear real cut. It causes no harm to give the kid a chance. You can't tell me athletically there are 90 better players this FO will bring in this off-season.

I myself could pass for the "look" of an NFL athlete, means nothing. There are many many athletes yet only the top 1% are NFL players. Jordan is the former, not the latter.

Misi is another waste of a roster spot. He's injured all the damn time. I am sick of these players who spend half the games on some form of injured list. Cut the dead weight and move on.

My guess is until you sign a capable LB to replace Misi you don't cut him. At this point we don't even have Kiko, I believe Misi and Hewitt might be the only LBs under contract. Jordan OTOH, i guess they want to see what he can do in camp. If nothing else you can cut him later and don't owe him a dime

Jordan is a disaster no matter what. However no front office wants to cut a player with the upside he has just to see him go to another team and turn into Jason Taylor. He doesn't cost much and although he is a very long shot I would hate to see him cut and another team give him the chance that gets his motor running.
I trust Gase and company a lot more than I did Failbin, and he has intel that we just will never see. So if he is still around I wish him the best but have no expectations. He has turned into exactly the player I thought he would be the night we drafted him. I was so sure we had traded up to get Blake. Was so disappointed.
