I may be the only one to defend gus....This is not gus' fault....How INT's has he thrown??? people are comparing him to Fiedler....ridiculous...

Gus is doing the best to his ability....the O-line is getting ransacked by the TB blitz...what do you expect him to do??? Brooks has been pushing McMicheal Around all game long... the defense is brutal...and they're not giving him time.

I expect him not to quadruple pump the ball when faced with an all out blitz, then fumbling the ball away.

Exactly....but it's also the play calling...all those down the field bombs just put us in 3 & long time after time.

Gus hasn't played too bad. The WRs have dropped a few balls and not to mention McMike he had 1 or 2 drops himself. I think we had a bad Offensive game plan for this one.

Lets count the over throws, the duoble and thriple pumps, he sucks, I think he is our weakest link. He may not have thrown any INT's today, but in our first 2 losses, how many INT were thrown in the endzone alone. I am sorry, you can not defend his play. We need a better QB. I would much rather see Rosenfels(sp?) get his shot. At least it is easier dealing with growing pains then pure poor play.

Gus telegraphs every play. if its a pass he locks onto his reciever. Also on handoffs he olds the ball out way too soon. it lets the defense know whats coming every time.

i agree about the playcalling being bad. We are throwing downfield with a qb qho cant throw downfield.

Bro he looks like a deer in headlights. Double pumping the ball, putting extra pressure on the Oline. He is also double patting the ball. He looked very nervous, and was pressing all day.

The play down feild have been there, just the ball has been over thrown more often the not!

I believe if those drops were not... then this game would have had a different outlook...

I dont blame Gus for one of the two fumbles, but he is continuing to miss plays down the field. Period.

Plus his percentage is sub 50%, theres something wrong there.

It still beats the Jay/Wanny era of "we tried to get the ball deep but"...

Players are open and for whatever reason the QB and WRs aren't connecting. They'll get in synch and those plays will eventually win us ballgames.

I expect him to hit one wide open receiver deep, ONE! He cant. 2 fumbles? After the first hit you would think he would be prepared. Is Gus costing us the games by himself? No he isnt, but when you want your qb to stand up and make plays, he isnt performing any better than any qb since Marino. Defend him all you want, and I have, but he is just missing wide open receivers and in games like today, when opportunities are slim pickings, you have to take advantage of teh one that are there, and Gus failed. Sorry excuse it all you want, but that is the truth. Bookers drop didnt help him, but the constant overthrows are killing us worse.

EXACTLY....which he has done on three occasions today. Plus overthrow wide open recievers. Im sorry. Gus sucks. Since we arent going anywhere this season...put someone else in. AJ..Sage.....anyone.

because gus sucks. what is it about being a 12 year career backup that you guys cant understand? oh, so what? he started a couple years in washington like 8 years ago. GIVE ME A BREAK. gus sucks.
