Why are we cheering for one QB over another ??

So maybe I am just naive or stupid or something but are so many of us on this site loobing for Henne or Beck or whichever McCown is in town. It makes no sense.

I have an idea....if we are really fans why don't we wait and see which if any of these guys can actually perform an help us win some game and then cheer for that guy....who cares if it is Beck of Henne of McCown... I JUSY WANT TO START BEATING THE BILLS AND THE JETS AND THE PATRIOTS AGAIN....am i missing something here ???

We start to be competitive again I will cheer for anyone as QB...isn't that the point...
 
The QB that I want to start is the QB that the coaching staff thinks gives us the best chance of winning on Sunday! I am sick of the Dolphins not making the playoffs.
 
Welcome, dude. I think that part of it is that a lot of guys have gone on record as really supporting one or the other so they have to stay committed to that guy. Some have serious "issues" with one QB because the Fins didn't draft Matt Ryan or some other nonsense. But mainly it's just something to bicker about because there is not a lot going on right now. I believe that the big majority of us just want the best guy to play and will support all the QB's because they are Dolphins.
 
It's taken me by surprise to. I just hope whoever starts plays well.
 
If Beck isn't the opening day starter it certainly won't be for a lack of trying. He has added muscle this off-season and has worked his tail off with the QB Coach etc.
 
because beck looked soooo bad last year and is just to small and only did good in a small school.. McCown has never proved to be a started and never will... and henne always chokes in big games and lost real bad to div 1 aa school.. :)

People always have their personal favorites that they are rooting for, but I think 99% of our fans would be ecstatic if any of our QBs did really well.

Dude, haven't you heard of the McHenneck bandwagon? Some of us are reasonable fans and want the same thing you do. Strong QB play from 1st to 3rd string. I'm excited to see what all these guys can do! Go Phins!
 
In a way, I kind of want Beck to prove himself and pan out, just because I feel bad for the situation he's in with the new staff and for all the **** he's gotten from fans. But I understand that it doesn't really matter who the guy is as long as he gets the job done.
 
Welcome to the NFL 2008. You can't keep two QB's forever like the old days. See Quinn/Anderson, one of them has to go. Fans are definately not going to be in agreement over that decision when it comes.....but it is coming. The silver lining there is we stand a good chance of getting a first round pick for Henne if Beck becomes the starter for good.

I'll stick with Beck, especially since I already know Henne defines the word average.
 
Well i know why i'm cheering for beck.
-When the line actually gave him time he made throws that i haven't seen a quarterback make here in a long time
-He is a hell of a nice guy
-People say he is done yet he has played 4 games with us?

I hope Beck wins the job to prove all of the nay sayers on here wrong. I think he is going to be a special player, whether he is a parcells player or not.

LMAO! HELL NO! if Beck becomes lights out that means Henne doesn't sniff the field in case of injuries. so we are not getting a first round pick.

Back to the topic I really don't care about who the qb is. If Henne turns out to be great then good for the dolphins and if Beck turns out to be great good for the Dolphins. from what I have seen from Henne I am not that impressed with him but I could be wrong.

Ghost-man you totally missed thepoint...talk to a Brown's fan or two....they don't care. They are just happy that they are getting good qbing and are winning games again and are back in the hunt...backing Henne or Beck before either of them have had the time to prove anything is crazy to me.....

The fan base seems to be divided from the old regime cam/ram and passing up on Quinn. The new regime parcells and not holding beck as the future of the team, and not giving cam/ ram the chance to develop the team.

but your right we just need to have some wins... i think McCown will start this year...but not the future of the team
