Do you think all the mistakes we made on Offense won't be corrected before the season starts?

The first team defense allowed 0 points. The 7 points on the board came from Frerrotte's fumble that was returned 70 yards. The other 3 points before the half were due to the fumbled return at the 10, and the Dolphins D did the only thing they could, stopped the Steelers and allowed only a FG.

Newson's fumble on the return was not his fault, he was hammered, the guy hit the ball with his helmet, no one could have held onto that, plus the field was soaked from rain.

IMO, Feeley looked much better than Frerrotte, for some reason though it almost seem that Linehan doesn't feel comfortable calling deep plays when Feeley is under center, that's not Feeley's fault, but probably just an indicator that Linehan feels more comfortable with Frerotte's feel for the offense.

Too much over reaction going on here, remember that we were playing a 15-1 team from last year, with an excellent defense and a formidable offense. We held their offense to 17 points, all came from fumbles an not because the Dolphins D gave out. One concern I had on D was the two large runs allowed by the Dolphins D, fortunately for the Dolphins the kicker missed a gimme filed goal.

I liked what I saw, we need to work on correcting the little mistakes that caused us the game, the score could have easily been 17-12, several key fumbles caused drives to end that would have at least resulted in Field Goals if not more... so let's keep all this in mind... and those of you who didn't see the game, keep your comments in until you do.

amen brother, i have seen the tape and the offense just needs practice time that is all, offenses are always slower to come along then defenses in the NFL that is a fact, you cant win with bad defense, we seen teams win superbowls with great ones and fair offenses, we are in good shape

OK First of all, that kicker missed a free field goal..That was an easy 3...But the defense gave up some plays and the run defense is not where I want to see it with Traylor and Holliday being a big improvement over Zgonina and Robinson. Hopefully when Chester is ready, the middle will be clogged completely.

I was very happy with Daniels and Howard, T. Jones who caused a fumble reminded me of Knight's big hitting abilities, and Y. Bell who could even start over Schulters.

yep...just let our first 11 men on defense play 4 quarters...we are good

The secondary looked promising.

The front 7 playing the run scares the you know what out of me

I havnt seen it yet but I appreciate your comments. The radio commentators were only focusing on the negative elements of the game.

Our defense has played better and better each game. The defensive playbook has been extremely complex, but as things are coming together you can tell that we're going to be amazing.

Offense still has some sync issues, and this was the first time we've had all these turnovers, part of it could be contributed to the amount of rain on the field. The Steelers also had some fumbles, but they went their way the majority of the time... the commentators commented several times concerning this, the delay of game and all the rain created alot of problems.

Our draft picks Roth, Crowder, and Daniels made some great plays. This secondary which was a concern played very good. Our backup D gave up 0 points in the game after the TD from the Newson fumble.

Weren't most of the big runs to the outside? I'm not going to say all of them because I'm not sure but the first huge run was to the outside and could have easily been a loss of yardage had Sam Madison taken a better angle.
I don't think our DT's were as bad as the stats show, after all they didn't run the ball up the middle on us with a lot of success.

The big runs were all to the outside. They made some great blocks on that big run, I'll have to look at it again, but not much we could have done on that one

first off, these mistakes last are correctable and it was a preseason game. we got it all out of our system early. The O will struggle a bit but if we can keep from turning the ball over, we will actually be tough to beat. When the real games start they will be aware. That O last night was bland. No special plays, no misdirections, no nothing except playactions. I wouldnt put any stock in this game but if we see this next week, then its time to worry. special teams were much better. O is the only thing that needs more work based on last nights game.

These are guys i noticed on D:
Vonnie Holliday
Crowder
Jason Glenn
Kevin Carter
DB's were all good for the most part
Matt Roth getting better
Yeremiah Bell
Overall, everyone on D is covering there areas, sometimes we overblitz and they take it outside and get us but they are rare.
