Why are we getting no credit?

I know I know that we went 1-15 last year and all that but last time i checked the records don't carry over. And another thing football is a TEAM sport so what the jets have farve. Football is about 11 offensive guys and 11 defensive guys working as a unit execute their game plan. Yes a superstar can carry you but who do you think opens the holes for LT the O-line who do you think gives Brady all the time in the world to throw the O-line so yes a few stars can put up huge numbers but for A TEAM TO WIN the O and D still have to act a a single unit. And special teams needs to be consistent (an area we may have an advantage in)

I have seen more cohesion and unity out of this group than ever before. They are playing with intensity and sort if a gile. Now we don't have the talent of some teams but heart and and a never say quit attitude can compensate for some of that. And as talent goes we have some "cast offs" and rookies in key roles who knows they may emerge as one of the best players at that particular position only time will tell.

I am so tired of ESPN and "experts" giving us 3 wins and such since we don't have a "Manning or Brady or LT" we apparently suck no matter what. *NEWS FLASH ESPN* The game is played on the field and NOT IN THE STAT BOOK FROM LAST YEAR. I see our defense being a very good unit that has more explosiveness then most expect and some unproven guys to step up and make some key plays. As for our O we may not be flashy like the pats of last year. But running the ball controlling the clock and having a game manager/accurate passer under center leads to points (3 or 7). I see a total TEAM effort going into this season. one guy misses a tackle the next guy is right there to put the ball carrier down. One of our O-line misses a block and our RB/FB picks him up.

We will be physical we will be mean we WILL WIN GAMES as a TEAM!!!!
 
Credit and respect are earned. If one feels the need to beg for it or complain about not getting it, one probably does not deserve it. If this team decides they would like respect they will go out and win games. Respect and credit will come with wins. Simple.
 
pretty simple

at this level, it's all about W's and L's (not that it should be)

people only see a teams record and then form an opinion, no matter how wrong it may be

you get respect by winning, something we need to do more of

I agree...If people really think the Bucs or Titans had exponentially superior talent to the Fins last year or especially this year, are fools. Win-Loss Records are only a partial measure. Of course it IS what determines playoff teams and whatever, but for many teams there is a fine line between top-10 in the draft, and wild card....In the last 2 seasons we have lost 25 games, 10 of them have been by less than a TD....that's 40% of our losses...and about 3/4 of them were 10 pts or less, and games we were very much in, but couldn't muster the offense, or defensive fortitude to close out. We will surprise a lot of people this year.

who says this team is bad...they haven't played in a reg season game...this team is nowhere close to last years team
 
(whispering)shhhhhhhhhhhh settle down my fellow dolphin brother, let them underestimate us. I like it this way. I hope we absolutely get no notice till midseason. Then by the time the NFL realizes whats going on south of Jax, we will be 4-6 games deep into our win column.

Unfortunately the Jets game will not help us fly under the radar too long. I think People will be talking Fins come 6 days from today.

Its because we stunk the house out last year and smells linger. We need to show people we have wiped our *** and removed said stink. Thats not done in the draft or in the pre season. Its done in the regular season. We need to earn our props and not expect journos to raise a glass when we have done nothing to earn it. Keep the faith. he who lasts last, laughs longest...maybe this year we get to laugh and not be the joke
 
As many have previously stated. it's earned, and earned only. Winning and only winning will bring the so called "experts" around. Such as a few years ago. We ended the season on that long winning streak, we go out and get Daunte Culpepper in a Trade and there ya go, we have people such as CNNSI, picking us to be in the super bowl. Why did they pick us, where did this respect come from? It came from the winning we had done to end the previous season combined with the addition of Culpepper. When we win games it will come.
 
Untill the season officially kicks off for us on Sunday, most people are going to think of us from last year. Just like the Pats are looked at as favorites because of last year. ever notice the AFC east projections.. funny how they mirror last years final standings. And to think these pundits get PAID!

Beating the Jets on Sunday will give us plenty of credit. Well it will be a start anyway.

y'knwo i really can't fault you for being optimistic. i've been this way at the start of every seaosn no matter what the jets did the year before. but let's face facts....the dolphins will win 4 games this year and chad will probably not make it through the season healthy...which will be a good thing for the dolphind cause if he does you will probably have to deal with another year of CPF and have to deal with offseasons full of "chad's arm will be back this year" threads.

If you want to talk a lack of respect go see the NYG superbowl champs that some are saying won't make the playoffs. That's no respect, not a 1-15 team getting no love we earned that!
 
as said above... its all earned.... only way to get that credit and respect is by winning throughout the season.... GO DOLPHINS!!!
