Why are we picking lower in the 2nd round. Is it because of the coin toss?

Teams with similar records exchange positions in each round. The coin toss was done to break the tie between us and Carolina because we had the same strength of schedule (used to determine order of teams with the same win-loss record). Since there are 3 teams that finished with the same record and we won the coin toss we got to pick first (of the three teams with similar records), Carolina after us and then Buffalo. The second round Carolina moves down, Buffalo after them and we pick last of the three, in the 3rd it will be Buffalo (who's pick we own through Chicago), then us, then Carolina...and so on and so forth.
