From what I understand about NFL contracts, when the team and the player can't agree, it's pretty typical to find common ground using easily achievable performance bonuses; so many starts, total yards, etc, etc. Correct? With Ricky Williams in camp (and in the mix to get significant playing time) it's not so easy to accept. In other words, those performance incentives may be alot more difficult to reach with Ricky on the field.

Im sure he is wating for other top 10 guys to get signed....make sure he gets a good deal..

I think that would take 2 long he should be a leader not a follower.

There is a real quick way to get him into camp, start getting into his pocket for every day of camp that he has missed. Such as if he doesnt report to camp by next tuesday he will be fined 100,000 or whatever number makes since for every day of camp that he has missed. Maybe that will speed things up.

While I'm sure that there's a lot of truth to what you're saying, I find the whole ordeal ridiculous. They knew they were going to have to pay him a bunch of money, so an extra 3 Million over the span of 3-4 years isn't going to kill them.

I'm not too sure that it would go over very well with the NFL if you started fining guys that you didn't have under contract. It's a good thought, but I'm sure there would be a lot of backlash.

exactly...

if this story is true.. Fins need to step and pay.

But i think RB is waiting for more top 10 picks to be signed to make sure he gets the best deal.

His agent is waiting for Braylon Edwards to sign. He's afraid that if Ronnie first then Braylon get's more guaranteed money that he'll lose clients.
The agent is in over his head that's all.

I think you're exactly right. The agent is afraid Braylon is going to get more than Ronnie and ruin his career, so until Braylon signs he's sticking with a number he knows the Dolphins will never agree to.

Its more likely that the other top-10 guys are waiting on Ronnie to sign to make sure they get a good deal...

#1 signed. He should not be waiting for anyone else. I am getting annoyed now that I bought an ogange Ronnie jersey. Was gonna wear it to Jax on the 13th but I am definitely leaning towards either of the 2 jerseys I bought in the last week. A white Marino and a white Jason Taylor

If that is what the agent is thinking, the agent is a low-grade moron. As soon as Ronnie signs, Cleveland offers Edwards $1 million less in guaranteed money.
