On paper and in the stat column, our defense looks good.. We've hung tough with Aaron Rogers, Stafford and beat up on Brady.. and yet I got this sinking feeling in my gut that Peyton is going to expose our soft pass coverage and put us to shame.. In all the previous games, we've survived because the QB missed their receiver, led them too much, over threw them or bounced it to them.. When the QB was accurate and hit the receiver in stride, it usually when for a decent size gain..

I sure hope I'm wrong, I hope we can either put pressure on Manning enough to make him uncomfortable or that our offense can get into a shoot out with him and end up being victorious... Although I dont have that much confidence in our offense moving the ball on a consistent basis and scoring inside the redzone.. I mean, we not playing the Raiders in London..

Can anyone disagree with me? or can you find the words to help me get over this state of anxiety and paranoia?

Oh yeah, I'll have to listen on SAT radio this game as we'll be driving home from Vegas on Sunday...

I think it comes down to the offense staying on the field. If they give our D plenty of rest, everyone will be that much more fresh to make a play. Last thing we need is our D getting tired simply from being out there too much, and Manning with the ball.

I think the term you are looking for is "cautiously pessimistic". We know that the Fins have talent, and this team does look like it could be turning the corner, but like 7273 said above we are always waiting for the other shoe to drop to rip out our hearts.

Chin up little soldier. Every dog has his day. Perhaps this is ours :brewskis:

Better start preparing yourself for a win Sunday, because it's going to happen, guaranteed my friend.

Have to admit we've seen crappy qb throws by our competition in the games weve won.

I don't think anyone would dispute that if we don't get Peyton off the spot we are in trouble. If we do, we have a very good chance, no matter how is in our secondary.

Hard not to feel that way, but something to help ease the pain is their "terrible" OL is going against our DL, not to mention the secondary has been doing great. If we lose this one it's on the O, IMO.

Because you've seen this movie a billion times before.

Exactly. It's been nearly 15 years of collapses, failure, and at best mediocrity. You have no faith because this team has given no reason to have any. It's built a culture of disappointment. You're only human.

I don't know but I get damn sick and tired of getting my hopes up all the time just to have the team reach in and rip your heart right out of your chest.

Because you're a Dolphins fan. You are conditioned for disappointment.
