Why CFL

The reason players get sent to the CFL (and NFL Europe) is to develop their skills and gain experience. Ricky Williams obviously doesn't need this extra help. Infact the injury risk plus the wear on his body will outweigh any advantages he'll gain by continuing to play in the CFL.

Though the Dolphins might want to increase his trade value. However, the ONLY question about Ricky Williams is can he stay on the field. The ONLY thing other teams are concerned about is can he stay away from drugs and not get in trouble with the league again. There is no doubt whether he has the talent. He is a proven 1800+ yard runningback. Sending him to the CFL will not do anything to increase his value.

So from the Dolphins' perspective, there is no good reason to let him go to the CFL. But then again, the Dolphins aren't evil, so they might just make their player happy. (Unlike the Titans)

wrong, the CFL is not fully a developmental league, its actually more of its own league than developmental. There are many players who are more than good enough to be in the NFL as 2nd stringers, they just would rather play than sit on the bench and maybe have an opportunity. Also, many players in the CFL are just as good as their NFL counterparts in terms of skill, they just do not have the size to compete in the NFL(Olineman in the CFL are much faster, but also smaller than Olineman in the NFL). CFL football is a very different game than the NFL, there are rarely big formations, many teams go 4,5, or 6 wide for more than half their plays. Saying the CFL is mainly a developmental league is just plain wrong, it is much more like the WHA to the NHL than AAA to the MLB.

CFL IS A JOKE LEAGUE FOR MIDGETS, LOOK AT MIDGET ON MONTREAL, HE'S GARBAGE, DAMON ALLEN COULD NEVER BE A 2ND STRINGER, HE'S GARBAGE, THE CFL IS A JOEK LEAGUE WHERE A 40 YEAR OLD QB COULD WIN THE MVP. GIMME A BREAK, CFL IS WORSE THAN NCAA DIV 3 FOOTBALL, USC COULD BEAT THE GREY CUP CHAMPS ANY DAY OF THE WEEK, VINCE YOUNG AND TEXAS WOULD SMOKE A CFL TEAM. CFL TEAMS ARE SO POOR THERE HASNT BEEN A NEW STADIUM FOR SUCH A LONG TIME, THEY CANT EVEN AFFORD INDOOR PRACTICE FACILITIES/ SPORTS BUBBLES LIKE NFL AND NCAA TEAMS, THEY CANT EVEN AFFORD CHARTER PLANES, I HEARD FOR A GREY CUP GAME, MANY TEAMS USE A RED EYE FLIGHT AFTER THE GAME, HOW GHETTO IS IT THAT? THE CFL IS PURE BUSH LEAGUE WITH PURE CHEAPSHOTS.
