We have Parcells (the NFL mastermind) wanting to stick around run the show as our VP and lead us to more wins and restore the franchise and Wayne bails? I mean isn't the organization finally moving in the right direction?: we are winning, we have a solid VP to oversee things and to take pressure off coaches that he chose and that all get along, and we are drafting some talented players, the fans are feeling better and Wayne doesn't have to do anything but sit back and watch the money and wins roll in. I always hear about his open wallet and his love for the Miami Dolphins and the fans so why is he selling in this ideal situation?Does he just have horrible timing?: locks up Wanny, he gets involved in the qb quandry just in time to push for Culpepper over Brees, and then he crosses Parcells and sells some of the team.

if it comes down to next year, I think wayne will hold on one more year or give BP a raise to stay. he will remain majority owner IMO, just because he knows he has a team on the up and up and has nothing to lose at this point. he lost alot during the wanny/satan/cameron era's. the seats will fill up, we will have IMO 4 prime time night games next year, 2 being at home. Keep the team Wayne!!

It's because of Barack Obama. Wayne hast stated he doesn't want to pay the increased capital gains tax which will take effect when Obama takes office.

I don't understand it either....finally winning again, and he sells.

That's kinda lame. He still will be making millions of dollars in profit, selling your team to avoid paying higher taxes is garbage. he needs to see it through to the end, keep this team until you either die, or win a superbowl.

the harder he always tried to do things right the more things back fired on him. here he goes again ready to make another bone-headed decision.

I totally agree, but to play devil's advocate, if you have that much money, it's obvious that you care about money. And if he cares about money, than it's a good move to sell and save some money he would be losing because of those taxes.

I hope your right man but he kind of already crossed Parcells by selling part to Ross.

But don't you think the profit from a couple trips to the playoffs and a possible superbowl run would outweigh the taxes.

HES RIGHT. HE DID THE SAME WITH THE MARLINS WHEN THEY WON IT THE FIRST TIME IN 97...... ONCE THE TEAM DOES WELL HE SELLS THEM OFF FOR A HIGHER PRICE TAG CUZ NOW THERE DOING WELL.. "HES A BUSINESS MAN AND HAS PUT BUSINESS IN FRONT OF THE FANS AND TEAM." HE DOESNT LOVE THE DOLPHINS LIKE SOME OTHER OWNERS WHO LOVER THERE TEAMS AND WILL TAKE THE LOSSES... HE IS A STR8 HUSTLER. AND THATS WHY HE WENT FROM RAGS TO RICHES. FROM GARBAGE TRUCK DRIVER TO NOW A BILLIONAIRE PROB.

Well, I disagree that he is a straight hustler. He does love the Dolphins, but he also loves money.

He is thinking of his children. He is trying to save as much money for them as he can. He knows he's getting older and will eventually kick the bucket! Obama will cost him 100 percent more money then it would right now. i dont care who you are, thats a lot of cash. love your team or not.
