It seemed while he was here he showed some good moves, i thought he could be a good backup... Even though sammy came back, why couldn't we have just kept both?

I don't know, Ronnie, Sammy, Travis, and Suggs. That is quite a packed backfield. I think Saban felt Suggs couldn't contribute as much on Special Teams as Minor, or Morris could, therefore he cut him.

Will he be missed on offense???...

If the answer is no, then there's really no use in keeping him around in my opinion. Maybe Saban has other plans for that roster spot.....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

Am i the only one who isnt over-hyped on having Morris as our back-up? I was thinking this when Ronnie had his groin problem after his 1st or 2nd carry. Travis Minor wasnt given a look and the Suggs loss suddenly made me think about what we had at RB.

Honestly, I forgot we still had Suggs.....

I think Morris is a solid back-up. He's more in the mold of a FB, but he can carry the load when Ronnie needs to sit in my opinion....

Do you really think he can carry the load? 6 carries for 20yds =2yds,4yds,0yds,5yds,7yds,2yds does not bring confidence to me. Sammie is more of a FB who does not have breakaway speed. Im not saying hes bad but if Ronnie had gone down after his 1st carry i think we would have lost against KC. Shouldnt a 2nd string RB be a HB? Not using Minor was a mystery to me.

We don't still have Suggs. He was waived a few weeks back.

I liked Suggs. When we didn't sign Davenport, Suggs was the next big pick. If he had more opportunities on 3rd down, he could have produced. IMO.

That's more than 3 yards a carry, and for a back-up, that's not too shabby. If it's only for a couple of games a year, Morris is a servicable back. That's just my opinion.....

I thought getting rid of Suggs might have weakened the Miami team a little but I hope the coaching staff knows more about it than I do.
