I have been curious about this from the beginning, but why not keep the Quinn trade under wraps until the start of FA? It seems ever since the trade was announced everyone knows we cannot afford to keep Landry so we will end up cutting him for nothing. Before the Quinn deal, many assumed we had a shot at keeping him still. Is the trade just something that can't be kept quiet that long in todays social media world?

There are 2 sides to the trade. I'd think the Rams would be eager to discuss their resulting cap space in terms of potential franchising and credible ability to attract additional FAs. Aside from that, between all the personnel from the two teams and the league office, I'd think there would be leakage somewhere.

Landry's gone either way imo. I really don't think he wants to stay anyway. The only question is, will he be traded or will we rescind the tag and get a comp pick in 2019?

Because Quinn's money has nothing to do with Landry's situation, or our ability to keep him or not keep him.

Are we assumming my released the info regarding the agreed trade instead of the Rams, a player or one of the agents involved?
