I have no problem with the trade for Mckinnie, but the problems were obvious before the bye, so why didnt we make the trade then and allow Mckinnie time?

:crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy:

Probably because it took time and another huge failure by the O-line to convince Philbin that a move needed to be made. I'm sure he hates having McKinnie on the team but desperate times call for desperate measures-even for a goody-goody like Philbin.

Maybe, just maybe, the Ravens took their time with the trade. Who knows when and how long the trade was in the works but most here immediately assume we waited.

Miami wasnt going to trade for Mckinnie IMHO. The media had even said that philbin said they werent looking to make a trade or change at O-line and that they were going to help Clabo with his technique because that was the problem. But then a report stated that Ross called Ireland and Philbin into his office and they left in shock. Couple of days later we trade for Mckinnie.

Seems like Philbin didnt want to make a trade, but the owner insisted, and the gm obliged in a last ditch effort to not be fired.

Genius

They thought they could iron out the probs in the 2 weeks before the Bills. Work on everything, and correct the issues. When the coaches looked like they didn't address after Buffalo, they had to do the next logical step, get another player in here. Why Mckinnie? Idk..

I have no doubt that there were talks for a bit but that horrible display by Clabo made them pull the trigger with the team with the best deal.

If the issue was with technique then I can see trying to fix clabo but it looks like only us fans knew clabo was hot garbage after the first few games. Ireland and Philbin had to wait for clabo to have his hand on 2 losses before they realized what is fans knew for awhile now.

Because. The Ravens wanted a 6th and we only wanted to give up a 7th. Finally settled for conditional pick lol.

Not sure what problem a 34 year old Mckinnie could solve anymore esp since Baltimore gave up on him barely this far in season
