If the Chargers are under the cap by so many millions, and could re-sign him, but they aren't, why would he be an upgrade to our defense? I ask this because the last 6 games or so he was getting torched, and was part of the weak link in the back field along with Marlon McCree who the Chargers are not bringing back either. I am asking to find out from the Drayton supporters what can he bring to our team that we don't have already have, and are members here just saying his name, rather then understanding what he can and can't do?

Drayton Florence

Drayton Florence only made just over 1.2 million last year acording to http://content.usatoday.com/sports/football/nfl/salaries/playerdetail.aspx?lname=F&player=2795 growing up in San Diego I seen alot of him, he is a quality player and would be a great pickup for our team. He had a total of 4 picks last year including the playoffs. He also has alot of heart and would compliment W. Allen on the other side. I like him more than any other DB out there bang for buck.

Your Thoughts?

I understand you are new bro. Please do not start another thread for him. This doesn't belong in the Miami Dolphin forum. It belongs in the general NFL forum, and there is already on there. Thanks.

In my humble opinion wich is based on watching the Chargers and Florence is that he is not starter material but maybe bring him in as a nickel guy or for depth purposes.....

In a conference with the pass happy Pats I guess you need 4 quality CB's.

He is a quality guy. He is better than any of our DBs besides W. Allen.
Bro I owe you an apology, your thread could have stayed in the Miami Dolphins forum. Sorry about that. Please look to see if there is already a thread started on the same topic, before starting a new one. Thanks, John:hi5:

actually he is....he was only replaced by Antonio Cromartie, who can blame the Chargers

the reason i want him is because he is alot better then all our CB but Will allen

No he is not great. Yes he is an upgrade over Lehan/Goodman.

I wouldnt mind his signing, but I would still want the position addressed somewhere in Rounds 1 to 4.

i'm undecided on the guy,, seen him take some stupid penalties, but probably an upgrade for our db squad, i'm not sold

I agree he is better than alot of our current guys but that being said I still dont like him as a starter. I think we could find better options out there.

Will Allen was probably the most reliable part of our secondary last year, there's nothing wrong with the way he played. He only had one INT but he routinely made plays for us in the secondary.

As far as Florence goes, I think he's an average starter at best. I'd rather see us actually upgrade the position through FA, such as someone like Trufant, or draft someone we can develop, such as Rodgers-Cromartie.

what im saying is he is better then all our CB besides Will allen, Drayton Florence is better then Danials, Lehan, and Goodman
