i have heard many of you say, that you think Ricky will suck, or he will be nothing more than a career back up, or hes worthless........and lets be honest, you have prolly thought that.
i gurantee you, that Ricky Williams, will be a better running back, than he ever was. ever.....
why?
1.) Ricky didnt like carrying the ball 40+ times a game.....now that we have Ronnie Brown, he wont have that problem....
2.) He had a whole year off  that gave him plenty of time to rest up for the season.....no injuries.
3.) he learned new ways to heal himself properly, and he is more confident and secure with himslef.
alot of you guys say that ricky is underweight and out of shape.
this may be true at the time being. But he only needs to gain 13lbs, to get back to where he was, at 228lbs.
he may be out of shape right now, but hey, this guy is a workhorse, he will be working out, trying to get ready for the season....he will
AND HES GOT 2 mounths, before the NFL season starts, then hes still gotta serve the 4 game suspension.

so baring an injury, i gurantee you Rickys Best days are yet to come.
go ahead and bash me.:)

I just don't like the guy, he could play good but I don't think he has good intentions for coming back

How cow Ivel, this is the first time that i have to agree with you on a thread.

I won't bash you Dok. I'm just going to recommend you pay better attention in English class.

He's a quitter, why would you want to believe in a quitter?

Michael Jordan was a quitter (i'm talking about the 1st time)........did you quit believing in him????
i sure as hell didnt. he had his career best when he came back

No bashing. I think Ricky can be a productive back for this team, but he will be splitting carries with Ronnie. I don't think he will be kept around too long for salary cap reasons. I despised him for leaving but now welcome him back and wish him the best. I just have the nagging thought in the back of my mind that he has quit once and can do it again at the drop of a hat.

You're waaaayyyyy off there Dok., sorry. Michael didn't "quit" right before the season started...he retired during the offseason just after winning his 3rd championship ring. I understand what you're trying to say, you just used a bad example.

i think that having Ronnie, completes it.
if ricky kicks *** in camp, and preseason, he could start over ronnie.
then Ronnie, would be complete.
why?
1) look how great he did as a back up to Carnell Williams.

just think about it. it doesnt matter which one starts. the starter may get a tad bit more carries, but when it comes down to it, they have an equal chance, and Ricky will run better than he did before, because he will be "Fresh" whenever he touches the ball, and thats dangerous.
Rickys stats wont be better, but he will be a better runningback than before.

Don't go there. The TWO situations are not even remotely similar.

I think Wicky will do GREAT. I for one can't see such a talented HB like him is going to lose that talent just because he left football for a year. In fact I think he may even be better than ever.

I don't like what he did, I will never trust him again but I wish him the BEST because he is a Miami Dolphins. Until that changes I hope he rips the NFL a new one.

do you honestly think thats the only reason Ricky retired???
i believe what he said. That the painmeds were to much for him, and that he was smoking weed (which is natural by the way.) because it was healthier on his body.

which brings me to my next point if anyone wants to argue.
getting drunk is worse for you than getting high off marijuana. does any one want to argue this?

i relize that they are differnt in a sense that ricky quit on his contract right before camp......but my point is, players can come from a "retirement" and be better than before.

Jordan quit to play baseball. But he played like he was smoking weed:lol: :goof:
