I dont believe a word that is coming out of davie right now. If ross is supporting ireland and not demanding tannenhill i dont think they would feel the need to reply to false reports. The more they respond to these false reports the more i think its becoming reality that ross is making demands. to get tannehill.Every rumor that is out there the front office instantly replies to it, we all know they cannot tell us the truth so whats the point of even replying? im all for tannehill so hopefully it is true but our front office is really looking dysfunctional lately. Stop responding and proving the stories true!!!!!! Now, some team is going to pick up tannehill before us because they know we want him badly which will make us have to give us more picks for him. How are these reports leaking!!!!!!!!!

They don't answer the fans/media: fans complain.

They do answer the fans/media: fans complain.

Fans = people

Consensus: people complain.

Because our fan base as a whole act like 5-year olds.

It's ALL smoke screen right now.

The FO is playing a poker game. Trying to force the hand of the folks picking in front of us...and even those that pick behind us but might wanna pick in front of us or for us.

I think the draft is going to be something nobody expects in regards to the Dolphins. I just get that hopeful feeling

Stephen Ross is the biggest problem facing this team. I have said it going on 18 months now and I am not changing my tune.

When lies and garbage is said about you and your team, what is wrong with coming out and supplying the truth. If a coworker spreads a lie about you, are you just going to sit there and do nothing? Or are you going to address it and set the record straight.

I've learned to pay attention to nothing said during the week leading up to the draft.

It just turns your brains to oatmeal trying to figure out what "comment x" could really mean.

Save your sanity!

Your going to compare these 2 different situations? this is business dude, not personal, what your talking about is personal. This is exactly why we are the laughing stock of the nfl right now. The media and other fans around the nfl love it when the media gets to the dolphins front office, it works every time.

Ross is big on public perception. Pretty obvious that he's frustrated at the fact that he and our FO keep getting blasted by the media over and over again.

I wouldn't be surprised if he has a social media team who monitor Fan forums to get a pulse on what the fans are saying.

Agreed. Mind games, smoke screens, & red herrings... gotta love NFL news in late April.

because they are trying to reach out and be more transparaent to fans. they are trying their best. and no matter what they do fans complain about it jeeeeeez

I think people are making a big deal out of nothing on this one. I don't see any problem with Ross calling out a media outlet for a false report.

Granted this could be a smokescreen or strategic move for the draft, but I don't think it tips our hand or proves the stories to be true as the OP posted.

There's a valid reason the Fins fan base is as dysfunctional as its become. It's understandable. However, whatever rationalization of the painful, probably justifiable journey was to get there, doesn't make the fan base any less dysfunctional. :idk:
