Ronnie Brown is not a QB so why should his salary demand just a little less then the new field general of the 49ers. Just because you are the #2 pick in the draft you are guaranteed a certain amount of money no matter what position you play. So if Ronnie Brown was a QB he would get the same amount he is looking for? Doesnt the QB generally make more than the Runningback? Im just very frustrated that Ronnie Brown hasnt signed yet and so many other first round picks have. This is getting to be rediculous. Im curious to see how much Ronnie is going to be making compared to other runningbacks in the league that have already proven themselves. IMO asking for money based on your draft selection is B.S. It should be based on your position, for instance if you are a QB at the #2 pick than you should be making more than a runningback at the #2 pick. Im sick of waiting for him to find out what the other picks are going to make so he is sure to get a fair deal. Base his deal somewhere between Caddy's and Smith's and lets get him into camp already. HURRY UP!!!

it's very normal for a first round pick not to be signed by the first pre-season game. not something we've seen for a while, that's all...don't panic, the guy wants to play. they're scrapping over a couple million which in the long run isn't a big deal (no puns intended).

Eli Manning and the Chargers screwed everything up last season. They bolstered the salaries way higher than they should've been bolstered and the future of the draft will now be shaped in regards to that.

Unless you're going to get a game changing player, being in the position of receiving a top 5 pick is a complete waste of money. Let's face it, giving 20m in guaranteed money is definitely not worth it.

Right now Buffalo is facing the same problem w/Mike Williams. He was the 4th pick a few years back and now getting over 9m this year. Granted, he played very well last season but for 9m you gte get someone like Pace, a PROVEN player @ his position.

This is the first high pick we have had in a while...this is normal we just arent used to it . 6 of the top 10 still arent signed yet and Miami is just trying to get the best deal they can it will be alright :D

This guy is posturing for position...it's not about how much he gets, but whether he gets more guaranteed money than Edwards and Benson..that's all it is...don't worry...Galary, the #2 last year got 18.3 mil and he was an OL...so Brown will get somewhere between the 22 that Smith got and the 19 that's being offered now...it's a posturing game to save the face of the agent....
