Just read an article in the palm beach post by some guy jason schroda or something that says we are not making the playoffs and be happy to be 8-8, do people just get a kick out of taking away hope from other people, it makes me sick that the media does this to us. No wonder why saban hates them. Everyone at this site should email this goof, what is his next article going to be there is no Santa

Eh, I don't have a problem with this and I'm always against the stupid writings of the media down here.

Point is that our chances for the playoffs are a pipe dream.
Ronnie Brown going down made them even worse.

Dosen't mean I won't be hoping for a football miracle but really, come on.

What do you mean there is no Santa? The media just likes to be negative regarding the Fins, probably because they hate Saban.

Its really far-fetched to think we will get in the playoffs. Even if we win out (which I dont see happening) we need help from other teams. We have a piss-poor conference record. Dont hate on the writer for being in reality

The media is just being realistic....we have 5 games left and have to make up two games on two different teams.....as well as hope the rest of the teams ahead of us stumble. We have virtually no room for error and have to win out....this is a tall order.

No other team in the history of the NFL has done what the Phins are trying to do...the media is just being realistic. If by some miracle we do manage to win out the media will certainly be showing it's praise at that time.

The chances are slim and the margin for error is zero. With that being said I'm rooting for it bigtime. I'd say us winning out is less likely then the teams ahead of us not losing the games they need to lose. If we win Sunday we will hold tiebreakers over Jac. and KC and if Cincy loses to Baltimore they will be right with us. I see Denver falling apart, and the Jets will lose 2 more, despite an easy schedule. Mark my words, we will probably not win out but after the season when we look at it we will see that if we had won out, we would have made it.

Ya I just read the article. He's just voicing his opinion. It's pretty unrealistic to think a team can win it's last 9 games while playing at Chicago, at Buffalo, at Indianapolis, home against Kansas City, Minnesota, New York, New England, and Jacksonville. We're only at the halfway point now. I don't have a problem with the article. The rest of the article is great though. It really brings up a question I often ask myself and my other friends who are DolFans...Here's a link to the article.

It hasn't been the people saying we won't go that makes me mad. It's when they say that the Steelers are still alive but won't even mention us in the same breath. On primetime today, they talked about the Steelers PROBABLY being done today, but they said that the Jets kept their SLIM playoff hope alive by winning vs. Houston. I just don't get all the love for a very bad team. Sure they won the Super Bowl, but that was last year, this is this year.

I agree with every single word of this, except maybe the bold. I'm not counting this team out against any one for one reason; THE DEFENSE! If you have a defense playing like ours is right now, and if the QB avoids mistakes, you can beat ANY ONE! Like you said, the chances are against us, but I'm not counting this team out until they're out.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Nothing pisses me off more than the fact that the media still says the Steelers are still in for consideration for the playoffs. I hate how they bring up the playoff picture in every game and always put the Steelers in there but not Miami or Buffalo...

because they are not fans and they dont have the problem of biasely and blindly believing something that is remotely possible. You have to face the reality...the "most" likely scenario is that we wont make the playoffs

the odds of us winning out are very slim...and the odds on top of that of us even making the playoffs even if we "do" win out are also slim.

So why would they say otherwise???

Remember Joey is still our starting QB
