As a NY Phins Fan, I have to watch the regular season games on DirecTV's Sunday NFL Ticket. As far as the preseason games go, it is NFL Network for me. I look forward to watching the games without knowing what the final result is ahead of time. NFL Network has a scrolling ticker at the bottom of the screen showing all scores and stats. You would think that at least they would be smart enough to not show the final score of the game that they are broadcasting at the moment. :yell: If you already know the final score ahead of time it takes alot of the rooting interest away. Anyway I just had to get this off of my chest. Fow now I will keep on sticking a strip of black electrical tape along the bottom of my TV so I don't see anything that I don't want to see ahead of time.:)

Though after actually watching the game, a game that seemed to have the offense running around with the black electric tape covering their eyes, I'm sure that I would have been better off just getting the score ahead of time and calling the whole thing off.

I hear you
I actually put a music stand in front of the ticker

Oh man, I feel your pain...

Somewhere in the second, Miami is mounting a drive (the one with the long Welker catch) and I'm getting excited for our offense, and then I see the ticker. Next play, fumble, Pitt ball...

Not that it has anything to do with it.. but yes, it is frustrating. And defies common sense, too...

Direct TV sucks. I pay big money for the sunday ticket, and they cant' even give us preseason games? the games are all televised anyway, why can't they just put them on the NFL ticket? cheap-*** Direct TV.

They're the microsoft of broadcasting.

I know exactly what you mean. Same goes for ESPNews. I'm looking for a highlight and sure enough the score appears at the bottom of the screen. I knew it was there all along, but I couldn't look away :D

nessecity is indeed the mother of invention. :rofl3:

Yea, I was gonna do the tape thing but forgot. I wasn't lookin at the ticker though and then in the second quarter my dad says something like "What's that down there it says it 17-3 now... Ohhhh... Umm.. Woops"

And I wish NFL Ticket would show the preseason games so I wouldn't have to wait days making it impossible to not know the outcome.

Edit: 500th post all right :D

hell i'm just happy to see the games. in the past you had to read about the preseason games. I think we have been spoiled with the nfl ticket. your supose to watch the preseason games to check on the progress on the players. i'ts not like some big mystery who wins and loses.

yeah but thats not the point - my anger is that if we are already paying big money for the nfl ticket, we should get the preseason games.

i have fieldpass too, so i listen to them live anyway. but with what i'm paying direct tv, i should be able to see them live.
