He may have lost the ability to coach but he always was good at picking players. Yea I know he's old but really, can it get any worse?
Your right!Shula would hang up on these mother ****ers.

That what I mean. I think coaching passed him by of course, but he knew talent. Some Miami "fans" drove shula out because we were always 12-4 every season. We have been pathetic ever since. It probably wouldnt hurt to bring him back.I would be for it.He is about the age of trader jack when he took the marlins all the way to beating the pitifull yankees.Yeah lets bring him back and marino and the mark brothers and the blackwoods as well.
I agree on defense and running back but the rest of the team, o-line, receivers, tight ends, corners, linebackers, were pretty solid. He got ran out of town because he could not get the team back to the Super bowl. I'll take those constant playoffs runs any day. And remember he drafted Marino. No thanks, his failures his last 10 years in picking players is why Marino didnt win a superbowl. He could never build a defense for Marino due to his horrid drafting.
More like 9-7 every season. Some Miami "fans" drove shula out because we were always 12-4 every season.
More like 9-7 every season.
Shula was a great 70's coach who needed to retire in the 80's.
The game passed him by and he was never able to put together a solid team or coaching staff. It was his legacy that kept him around. The Dolphins were the 80's, 90's version of the 2000's Colts, all Marino. When Marino was out, the Dolphins were an average team.
