These olinemen can actually move...the center and guards can pull...why cant we roll tannehill out???

I just don't get it...

RT needs to get better. I am not faulting the OC this go around.

I agree we need to play to his strengths and I believe rolling out gives him the best chance to make plays and who knows he may even hit a deep ball or two!

We've been saying this for years. Throwing on the run was his most impressive ability coming out of college. There must be some reason why we don't do more of it with him. Frankly, he's looked far, far less athletic than we all expected from a former WR.

We should do it more no doubt but eventually teams will catch on and do something to make him revert back to "in the pocket" Tannehill. I think if Moreno would have played there may have been roll outs.

How about taking the snap from under center for a change? The shotgun-all-the-time formation is getting old really quickly!

There are a lot of things that can be done to "help" Tannehill, but still his biggest deficiency remains his accuracy. I cannot remember watching a QB who has started this many games in the NFL who less accurate than Tannehill. I am not talking about completion percentage alone. He just does not put the ball in the right spots. Ever. He has no touch on fade patterns. He has no touch on screens. He has a complete inability to complete deep passes. He consistently throws the ball behind receivers on crossing patterns.

I think it is also related to his decision-making speed. He is slow to recognize developing plays. Because of his this, he fails to hit receivers when they are open. His throws are late, giving defenders time to recover, which either leads to incompletions or lack of YAC on completed passes. Receivers are never able to run with the ball after catches.

It's a sad situation. I really hoped that we had finally made the correct move with taking a QB in the first round, after passing on guys like Brees, Rodgers, and Ryan in past drafts. Unfortunately, Tannehill's deficiencies are going to prevent him from ever being a franchise QB.

I was asking myself that all day today. Lazer kept him in that dumb ass shotgun read option bull****. Tanne neden some play action rollouts today

He was in the shotgun all day because their defensive line is one of the best in the NFL and was eating our interior linemen alive. RT was also flushed out of the pocket a few times and his throws were still off.

I've defended Tannehill because of some flashes he has shown. But if he doesn't put it all together rby the end of this year it may indeed be time to move on. But let's give him a few games in this system. Im not being optimistic though, his accuracy issues are HUGE.

I can't answer that. I'm still waiting for the dynamic, fast paced offense we were told the Dolphins would have. When it really comes down to it we don't look all that different than last year minus Knowshon who is multiple times better than Miller.

I'm not sure this is a good idea as bad as our line is.

Probably as simple as they didn't game-plan/practice it much. Now that they know what the really ove on the OL...the should be working on that this week.

I'll agree with this. I haven't seen the "great athleticism" that so many talk about. He looks slow.
