......because we try to "keep it close, and win it in the fourth quarter". What a lame philosophy. We need to start doing things to keep opposing defenses in check. Try mixing things up for a change. I'm sick of the vanilla approach. This is PRO football, not little league. I just wish we'd go for the throat, for a change.

Did Mike Tyson try to keep it close and win in the final round? No.

How nice would it be to take the approach of trying to win it in the first, and just step on other teams throats for the rest of the game?

I'm saying to try different things,not to relax in the fourth. Keep scoring. Whether they are a success or not remains to be seen. Are your saying that a "keep it close, and win it in the fourth" approach would be a better philosophy? :roflmao:

Bad analogy. Mike Tyson also got is @ss dropped a few times because of his approach. But other than that, i agree.:D

Mike Tyson also became the undisputed heavyweight champion due to that approach.Mike Tyson lost because he was A: taking Buster Douglas for a joke. B) because he went to prison, and never returned to form. Great analogy.

I remember hearing that Bruce Lee lost a bar fight once, because he tried to toy around with the guy he was fighting.

Dont get me wrong I used to be a huge fan of Mike Tyson in his prime, but the knock on Tyson is that he puts all of his energy into trying to put his opponent away too early and not really using any strategy. In the end, Tyson lost 3 of the biggest fights of his career because of it.
 
I don't think he stood much chance with Lewis, either way. :lol:

My point was that "win it in the 4th" sucks.
