I know i will probably go under fire for this comment but Why doubt Joey Porter?

Last season he started off with a minor knee reconstruction which obviously had an affect on him the first half of the season. Towards the end he was playing some good football. With a D-Coordinator that knows how to properly use him in blitzes, instead of a lot of coverages, this guy will truly define playmaker.

i agree, having a 250lb finesse rushing lb playing DE like capers did last year isn't exactly the best way to use him
 
People want to remember his past and throw mud at him. He and W. Allen was the only people playing with any heart at all on our D and I would dare to say that Joey was playing better than any LB in the NFL since the Pitt game on.
 
I dont doubt him at all. In fact I think we will see him play well with the team going to a 3-4. Now we can really see the threat of him and JT mixing it up on each side.

But, can we please stop calling him J-Peezy. Not for any other reason than IMHO its a stupid name. This is football, not a hip hop album. I call every rapper Lil young G Dogg. I need to mix a big and an eezy somethin in there and that pretty much covers em all.
 
I can't wait to see him back at his natural position of OLB in the 3-4. He will be great.

This is the first time I've seen him called J-Peezy and I agree WV. That name should be banned from the boards.:lol:

Yup and then we realized that Capers didn't know what he was doing without Saban. IIRC, but I could be mistaken, Cam had to venture off the reservation (offense) and ask, wth are you doing? Then the Defense played a tiny bit better, more specifically Joey.
 
well i still think hes a 8+ sack a year man if our D coordinator can use him. What is our coordinators background, blitzing?
 
I am excited about Porter this year after last 1/2 year. I think he and Clam Chowder can be a great outside tandem. We just need someone to anchor the middle now that Barney Rubble is gone.

Good luck Zach, go to a team that I like, which would not include the Patriots, Jets, Cowboys, or Bills.
